An actor and artist of the highest class. And it is a privileged to have lived through the years in which he was active. Only a few would understand that the main reason for the poor quality of art at present is the removal of literature and history from the school curriculum in late seventies. Hence, most of us don't have the ingredients to make a quality creation and even if we get a good one once in a long while , neiither do we have the ingredients nor the artistic background to embrace/enjoy it. We should thank Janaka, who too is a class act, for the wonderfully conducted interview.

I know Kamal personally, he is a genuine person, he has a wonderful character. I’m so sad that we haven’t used him enough mainly in the film world. I hope that he will do his best to revive the Sri Lankan film industry! All the best both of you 👏👏👏
