Diverse Radiation (Jurassic Period, around 200-145 million years ago): During the Jurassic period, dinosaurs began to diversify rapidly. This era saw the rise of well-known groups such as the theropods (which include the iconic Tyrannosaurus rex and smaller, bird-like dinosaurs) and sauropodomorphs (long-necked, herbivorous dinosaurs like Brachiosaurus). This period was marked by the evolution of larger body sizes and more specialized adaptations.
Further Diversification (Cretaceous Period, around 145-65 million years ago): In the Cretaceous period, dinosaurs continued to evolve and diversify. This era introduced many new groups and forms, including the ceratopsians (like Triceratops), hadrosaurids (duck-billed dinosaurs), and more advanced theropods, including the famous Velociraptor and the ancestors of modern birds.
