Professor Rosa made a mistake about the lift going up and down. When the lift accelerates upwards, you feel MORE WEIGHT, and when it starts going downwards, you feel LESS WEIGHT. "Guruntath Akuru Varadeei".

No he was right. You're wrong. Weight is the force exerted on an object due to gravity, and it is directly proportional to the mass of the object and the strength of the gravitational field it is in. On Earth, for example, the weight of an object is given by the formula: Weight = Mass × Gravitational Acceleration As you move to different locations on Earth, such as going up on a lift, the strength of the gravitational field can change slightly. Therefore, your weight would also change slightly, even though your mass remains constant. When the lift goes UP, the gravitational acceleration is slightly WEAKER compared to at sea level, which means you would weigh slightly LESS. When the lift comes DOWN you would weigh slightly MORE.
