Shanika , everything you said can be useful. Focus is a big issue. Another issue is how to retain in your brain what you studied. I had a good memory in general but not on study matters. Chemistry was a huge problem. What I did (it may work for others too), when I read the notes I scribble them again on scrap papers - just jot down the important points. I did it every time. Another is to read the notes aloud. I sometimes studied while walking inside the home. Another is to develop a sense what does not need to be studied (this is a hard one). I did all that and managed to pass Chemistry and Physics both without going to tuition classes and also without studying into late night.
