The hymn ‘Samide Oba ObeDesata’is believed to be written in the 6th century BC by the Israels after they returned home from captivity in Babylon. When they return they found their homes and lands gone to waste after being deserted for centuries. They experienced God’s saving power in returning from Babylon and they found a new challenge immediately, returning to a barren land. So they turn again into same and only God who saved them.They turned to him and pray prosperity. They pray for revival, a very unique feeling they have just experience God in big way and they more and more of him. This is story based to this hymn. This is really the same thing that we feel after a confession and returning to our usual life challenges. May God Bless You!
