අපගේ Travel with family channel වෙත සාදරයෙන් පිළිගනිමු! අද අපි හම්බන්තොට වියළි කලාපීය උද්භිද උද්‍යානයේ අසිරිය අනාවරණය කර ගැනීමේ උද්වේගකර ගමන බලන්න. ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ ආකර්ශනීය භූ දර්ශන මධ්‍යයේ පිහිටා ඇති මෙම උද්භිද පාරාදීසය ස්වභාව ධර්මයට ලැදි අය සහ සංචාරකයින් සඳහා නැරඹිය යුතුම ගමනාන්තයකි.
මිරිජ්ජවිල උද්භිද උද්‍යානය (හම්බන්තොට උද්භිද උද්‍යානය), ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ වියලි කලාපය තුල ඉදි කරනු ලැබූ පලමු උද්භිද උද්‍යානය වේ.
පිහිටීම
මිරිජ්ජවිල උද්භිද උද්‍යානය කොළඹ-කතරගම ප්‍රධාන මාර්ගයේ පිහිටුවා තිබෙයි. උද්භිද උද්‍යානයට වම් පසින් මත්තල ජාත්‍යන්තර ගුවන්තොටුපලත්, දකුණු පසින් මාගම්පුර වරායත් පිහිටා ඇත.

2006 වර්ෂයේ උද්‍යානයේ ඉදිකිරීම් කටයුතු අරඹන විට, එම භූමිය කටු පඳුරු සහ අත්හරින ලද හේන් භූමි වලින් සමන්විත වූ කැලෑවකින් ගහණව තුබූ බව පැවසෙයි. උද්‍යානය අක්කර 300 ක පමණ භූමි පරිශ්‍රයක් පුරා ඉදිකොට තිබෙයි.

කොහොඹගස් වැව, මලිත්තන්ගස් වැව සහ දෙමටත්ත වැව යන වැව් තුනකින් උද්‍යානය සමන්විත වෙයි. උද්‍යාන පරිශ්‍රය තුල තෙතමනය සහ සිසිලස රඳවා ගැනීම උදෙසා මෙම වැව් සකසා තිබෙයි.
ප්‍රධාන අරමුණු 06 ක් මූලික කර ගනිමින්, මිරිජ්ජවිල උද්භිද උද්‍යානය ඉදිකොට තිබෙයි. ඒවා නම් :
වියළි සහ අර්ධ ගුෂ්ක කලාපීය ශාකයන් විතැන් සංරක්ෂණය කිරීම.

2013 වර්ෂයේ නොවැම්බර් මස ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ පැවැත්වූ පොදු රාජ්‍ය මණ්ඩලීය රාජ්‍ය නායක සමුළු රැස්වීම මෙරට පැවැත්වීම සනිටුහන් කරමින්, එම මස 14වන දිනදී උද්‍යානය විවෘත කල අතර, උද්‍යානය තුල පොදුරාජ්‍ය මණ්ඩලයීය කවයක්ද නිර්මාණය කෙරුණි. මෙම කවය තුල ජනාධිපතිවරුන් තිදෙනෙක්, උප ජනාධිපතිවරු හත් දෙනෙක්, අගමැතිවරුන් සිව් දෙනෙක් සහ විදේශ අමාත්‍යවරුන් පිරිසක් සිය රාජ්‍යයන් නියෝජනය කරමින් ඖෂධීය ශාක රෝපණය කරන ලදී.
