ที่ วัดสระเกศราชวรมหาวิหาร(ภูเขาทอง) ประดิษฐานภายในพระวิหารหลวงพ่อดำ เป็นพระพุทธรูปที่อยู่คู่ภูเขาทองมาตั้งแต่ต้นกรุงรัตนโกสินทร์ เพื่อให้ผู้ที่ไม่สามารถเดินขึ้นไปบนภูเขาทองได้กราบไหว้
วัดสระเกศราชวรมหาวิหาร หรือ วัดสระเกศ หรือที่เรียกกันว่า วัดภูเขาทอง เป็นวัดเก่าแก่มาตั้งแต่สมัยอยุธยา เมื่อก่อนนั้นมีชื่อว่า วัดสะแก ต่อมาในหลวงรัชกาลที่ 1 โปรดให้ปฏิสังขรณ์และขุดคลองรอบพระอาราม แล้วพระราชทานนามให้ใหม่ว่า วัดสระเกศ ที่แปลว่า ชำระพระเกศา นั่นเองค่ะ เพราะวัดนี้เคยเป็นที่สำหรับทำพิธีพระกระยาสนาน (อาบน้ำ) เมื่อตอนเสด็จกรีธาทัพกลับจากกัมพูชามาปราบจลาจลในกรุงธนบุรี และเสด็จขึ้นเถลิงถวัลยราชสมบัติในปี พ.ศ. 2325
ต่อมาเป็น พระวิหารพระอัฏฐารส สถานที่ประดิษฐาน หลวงพ่อดุสิต และ พระอัฎฐารส โดยเป็นพระพุทธรูปยืน ศิลปะในการสร้างนั้นเป็นแบบสมัยสุโขทัยตอนต้น อายุมากกว่า 700 ปี และเป็นพระพุทธรูปยืนที่มีสูงที่สุดในกรุงเทพฯ สูงถึง 10.75 เมตร
ด้านบนก็ต้องมากราบไหว้ พระพระพุทธรูปประธาน ประดิษฐานตรงทางเข้าองค์พระเจดีย์บรรจุพระบรมสารีริกธาตุ นามว่า พระพุทธนิมิตวิชิตมารโมลี ศรีสรรเพชญ์บรมไตรโลกนาถ (ปางทรงเครื่องจักรพรรดิ์) และสามารถขึ้นไปเวียนเทียนรอบภูเขาทอง แล้วก็เดินถ่ายรูป ชมวิวของเมืองกรุงเทพฯ

The Temple of the Golden Mount, or Wat Saket, is a low hill with a pointed golden temple (chedi). It’s built on the site of a earlier, failed temple building that turned to rubble and became a hill. Wat Saket Ratchaworamahawihan or Wat Saket, also known as Wat Phu Khao Thong, is an old temple dating back to the Ayutthaya period. In the past it was called Wat Sakae. Later, King Rama I had it renovated and a canal was dug around the monastery. Then he gave it a new name: Wat Saket, which means to cleanse the hair because this temple used to be a place for the royal ceremony (bathing) when he marched back from Cambodia to quell riots in Thonburi. and ascended to the throne in the year 1782
Later it became Phra Wihan Phra Attharot. The place where Luang Pho Dusit and Phra Attharot are enshrined, which are standing Buddha images. The art of its creation is from the early Sukhothai period, more than 700 years old, and is the tallest standing Buddha statue in Bangkok, reaching a height of 10.75 meters.
