The thing that I don’t like about Myanmar idol is that you have to vote with money if you want someone to win. And those money become the prize for the competition. That’s not looking for talented singers. They focus more on money. So the true winner is based more on money than talent. But I’m satisfied with this year’s winner.
Yep. Most Myanmar people (not all) are not united. They are jealous if someone is more prosperous than him or her. They are narrow minded too. Actually, Buddhism is the best religion and most practical, but most are traditional Buddhists. They don't even practise five precepts. What a sad thing!
Nan Nan It's really sad! I've lost count of the number of Burmese people swearing at the contestants (some of them are at the age of their daughter/ niece) and their profile pics have an image of them taken in front of a pagoda or with a Buddha statue. Most of them are "Buddhists" in name only. The country won't prosper either as long as we have these narrow-minded people even under the "democracy" system.
Charlatan Yes. Actually they are not even worth with Democracy, spitting beatle nuts, throwing trash carelessly, driving recklessly, etc.. How we had to shut up during the military reign! We should always remember those days and correct our mistakes. Instead of using abusive language and blaming to one another, there should be unity, courtesy, etc........ People are ruder day by day.
He is jealous of other business success. It's very normal in Burmese cultures. Myamar Idol is very good and producing and supporting talented young people from all over the world to get the opportunity to enter into this music industry. So, some existing singers like Zaw Win Htoot is feeing intimiated because there will be more competitions from young and new artists.
Actually, I don't see anyone in the competition are biting each other as Zaw Win Htut accused. Only stupid and narrow minded fans are fighting each other and it has nothing to do with Myanmar Idol show. Apparently, Zaw Win Htut is just jealous.
Well, there's no logic it's because of the contestants at Myanmar Idol admire him. It's not relevant. The question is why Zaw Win Htut is so bitter that he publicly criticized the good events that will produce and support talented young generations of Myanmar from all walks of life. As an artist in the music world, can't he see any positive points about the musical event ever happened in Myanmar. He is the kind of guy who sees half a bottle of water in the glass, in other words, he is very pessimistic and unprofessional.
Albert H I think he was just talking about the fans when he said they r biting each other. I don’t know about the jealous part tho. Hopefully he’s not jealous.
Thank you. I kinda agree he meant to fans biting each other, but he was not very explicit about it and the way he said implied that the Idol program caused unhappiness and hatred. This Myanmar Idol program is a great project that supports and offers an opportunity to those disadvantaged young talented of Myanmar to land in the music career. As an artist, he should have said something constructive in the public. As you are aware of the emotional nature of fans, they even threw empty bottles into the football field in a game. His remarks are much better than that of May Kha Lar who blatantly criticized the singing of the contestants did not move the hearts of people. Have you listened to her comments? I am much disturbed to hear such an unprofessional comment.
Albert H the thing that I really don’t like about M Idol is that if you want someone to win you have to vote with a lot of money. The person who gets the votes with the most money will win. As you know majority of people in Myanmar are very poor. What if the one that should not win receives the votes with the most money and wins?? That’s very unfair.
