I stayed in Addis for 2 month on my way to America. Coming from Asmara, I was amazed at how big Addis was. That was in 1997 before the war. I have good memories of Addis. Beautiful city.
Dr. Abiy's one of greatest achievement was making peace with the Eritrean government. This has simplified to wipe out the evil juntas from our country politics. Peace and prosperity for both nations.

This was a historic moment between the two nations. Although Ethiopia isn't yet stable, it is heading in the right direction to democratise, whereas Eritrea has made no policy change in terms of freeing political prisoners, ending the indefinite military service which is driving the Eritrean Youth by the tens of thousands. My question is 2 years on since peace was declared between the two nations, does Isayse really want to develop his country or ruin it? Because if he did want to develop his country rapidly just like Ethiopia is doing then he need to end indefinite military service so youth who make up majority the of work force can go back to their normal day to day life. I actually think Isayse Afworki is more afraid of his Youth hence why he drives out of the country indirectly through harsh treatments and lifetime military service coz the more youth you have and you can not create job for them then the more trouble he will find himself in.
