So proud of cousin Mulatu who inspired me to be a musician at a very young age. We definitely need to find out our contribution to the world musically. Excellent very important documentary. Wish you all the best. God bless you.
An eye opener and educational teaching from the legend Mulatu Astatke. We thank you for your contribution to the Ethiopian Music. Long live Gash MULATU.
I am not a religious person, but the Orthodox church is part of my culture. I love to hear Kidase, it reminds me of many Sunday cold mornings at the church, standing next to my mom as a child.
I admire this gentleman! I wish I could inform Mr. Astatqe that there is already a solid new research (unpublished) on ancient Ethiopian musical instruments and musical heritage. There is a GRAPHIC proof for the Mesenqo fiddle, and for the name Mesenqo itself, going back at least 5,000 years. I hope to catch him on one of his tours and regale him on Ethiopian musical antiquity (as he has regaled us with original Ethio-Jazz). There should be an email of his somewhere.

I used to see Aleka Ayele use 'Sinter' conducting and correcting his students who were reciting abogida, dawit...all at the same time. The singer, just a small stick from a tree looked almost like the stick a conductor uses. Has always been fascinated by it an Egziabher knows how many people I've told of this experience I had witnessed and here I am seeing you linking Ethiopian conducting with European

It is very interesting interview. Please can you do it full transition with standard English subtitles. He is honorable of Ethiojazze music founder father 🙏🙏🙏.
We need to figure out a way to translate Dr. Mulatu's narration to the English language. Any volunteers? very important for the world to understand every single word.
I think it is about having one of the best and a biggest festival in the world should be happening every year in Ethiopia that should be promoted to all over the world to come to the city of Lalibela and organizing the concert and festival from both side, secular and sacred side. and that can be one of the biggest event happening in Africa that can create a big job opportunity and tourist flow to our beloved country Ethiopia. I Think. Sorry for my English expression. please help me if i have miss understood it.
