==> FED interest rate is an interest where the FED paid for Banks, financial firms or anyone else who buy Bonds and treasuries from the government(This is the interest that the FED has been raising for the past one year.) Issuing bonds and treasuries for the market(you gave money to the government for specific time frame and the government will return your money with interest), a. Treasury Bills (T-Bills): Short-term debt securities with maturities ranging from a few days to 1 year. b. Treasury Notes (T-Notes): Medium-term debt securities with maturities ranging from 2 to 10 years. c. Treasury Bonds (T-Bonds): Long-term debt securities with maturities of more than 10 years. d. Treasury Inflation-Protected Securities (TIPS): Bonds designed to protect against inflation by adjusting their principal value based on changes in the Consumer Price Index (CPI). 3. Printing money. ==> Bank Interest rate is an interest where the banks paid for their customers who deposit money in the bank, which has nothin related(correlated) with the FED interest rate. The reason the FED raising interest rate is that during covid they printed a lot of money and that money create inflation in the market if this inflation can't be tamed(controlled) it will lead to depression, so the government has to pull(collect) this money from the market to do so they raise interest rate(For Government bonds and securities not bank interest rate) so that corporations, banks and citizens will buy bonds and treasuries as a safe investment for good interest rate that will lead to controlling inflation but also affect the general market like stock, CPI(Consumer Price index) etc etc....
