She is plainly splendid. I don't say she is irreplaceable, but it may not be in my life time. I grew up listening to her music on the radio every Sunday afternoon. Scarcity made us not to take anything for granted including Bezuy's music. She remains my favourite female vocalist, and may Allah increase here tribe. RIP.
She was the first female star of Ethiopian music. when she came back from U.S.A after a treatment FOR loss of hearing in mid 70's the public went out in droves to celebrate her. There has't been such a show of affection for any musician before or since. SHE IS THE GODESS OF ETHIOPIAN MUSIC! ASTER BEING THE PRINCESS. MAY GOD REST YOUR SOUL BEZU! AMEN!
irreplaceable in a million years. There are certain people who rarely come to this life for a short while but the impact they leave behind will last for a life time. Bezuye is one of those great humans whom the creator has sent to the world. You are Gone but your message of love through art is still with us. We are more inspired than ever. Because of you Bezu.
Bizunesh Bizuye is one of the best admired musician and I liked this music more when I heard she played the music for her heartful love for the beloved Artist Bealu Girma. Do you know that most of her wonderful musics of love and critics are musics behind her real love for the most handsome and the most well known Artist Bealu Girma?
Every time I hear Buzu music I listen it as if I listen it for the first time. She is a queen of her time. Her music and her demeanor always leave something in my sole. RIP .... your voice is a treasure for all of us who enjoy your music all these years
i wish we still have hibret theater i still remeber her funeral, they showed it on tv and Mohammed was crying...that was the first time i saw a man cry, it has stuck w/ me ever since thanks again for your videos and keep them coming cheers
Thank you for posting Bizuye's music. Her grew up on her songs, she was a true gem and queen of Ethiopian music. Buzuye was extremely gifted and down to earth. She was always available to entertain your guests if you were throwing parties at your house. Those were the good old days that my generation will forever cherish. I'm glad young people could relate to the essence of true Ethiopian music from the heydays.
This amazing love song is performed by the then Bizunesh Bekele in the National Theater of Ethiopia in 1984. I remembered, This song made cry even the cruel communist dictator Ethiopian officials back then who were the only guest of honor in the National Hall. She was an Iron lady who break the heart of the cruels with her amazing love song!!RIP-Buzuye!!
Oh what a song! May God save your soul BIZUYE. And many thanks for the person who posted this song. Bizunesh had sung about death saying "BEKEFAW CHELEMA BEZIA BEMOT MENGED TEKETILO AYIHEDIM WEDAJ SIGA ZEMED" I only hope that her path to death was not as frightning and dark as she had said.
