Hi, professor Keep it up. You are doing excellent job. If all Ethiopian especially those educated think the way you think. Ethiopia will have Future. Don't listen to ppl. With trash Idea. I like you man....
I can't agree more that he is doing excellent job as education minister. I don't know about the leadership part of it so I can't make comment on that. He came from academia so I am not surprised that he is doing great in this position.
He needs another 5 years to lay down the foundation for education under Abiy’s leadership. I hope he will discuss ‘remote learning. I haven’t finished listening.
How dare you say so? He focused on exam where no books printed, distributed, teachers trained, ...If so, why he changed the curriculum then? Recently, he published errorful books where no enogh books distributed. It's 1:5? Sub stanndard‼
keep up the good job Professor, The curriculum in Ethiopian education system need to be overhauled for good. Those who complain about the change are those who are clueless who were brainwashed during the ugly twenty seven years.
Excellent work! However, prioritize the empowerment of teachers and set up a system for assessing and categorizing them according to their performance.
I really enjoyed this channel, the interviewer is professional and he got the right person to interview as the matter of fact I only checked this channel out because I saw Professor Birhanu was in it. I loved the whole thing and Professor Birhanu was on point, I can only see how hard every student is working because they know there is no other way. That's how we build the new Ethiopia.
Good Job! Thank you for doing your share! I honestly learned about this today and I am more than willing to help. I just have to find this portal the Education Minister mentioned.
@@aliyuseid55 most of you guys love to criticize and think your solution is better than everybody else's. I think he is doing great job and he is doing it the way he think it's right. Stop complaining about anything that you haven't contribute into. What have you done for Ethiopia? Ask yourself.
I think It would be best if the Minister of Education controls the Elementary School and Early childhood education. Otherwise, when a student comes from different regions to high school it going to be a very different capacity and it will be hard to be successful in high school.
Dear Professor Brhanu, Dr. Abiye placed you to lead the education system after he designed the best education system ever and that is why the education system in our country is on the right track, but I believe there are some important factors to consider before determining the pass mark for exams. For example, have all students received the necessary materials, such as exercise books, to support their learning? Are students and teachers fully accustomed to the new curriculum, especially the integration of subjects like physics, chemistry, and biology into general science? Do teachers have a clear understanding of the new curriculum and are they adequately prepared to teach it? Instead of immediately setting the pass mark at 50%, I urge you to consider starting at a lower percentage, such as 40%, taking into account these important factors. As you continue to address issues within the education system, such as improving school infrastructure, I believe that we can gradually increase the pass mark to ensure that students are given a fair and equitable opportunity to succeed.
I trust you professor don’t make me shame I will wait your result after 10 years and I hope you will do it what you said good luck 👍 for your future success and our children future if you looking this comment give me like to know me my massage is get targeted
I am confident it's going in a right direction. Just think about it now every 9th graders know how it's so they have to grind there is no other way. I am mentoring a few kids and I already got them preparing for matrik and they only in the 9th grade.
He started best strategic plan to help the country. People always need to be beneficial at the axpense of every thing regardless of the gaol and mision of the minister. የመጣንበት መንገድ አስተሳሰባችን ላይ እየታየ ነዉ...
professor biree and Jal Qajeelaa were most brilliant politician whose used their time efficiently to support their country, before their retirement. intelligence is not politics, serving your poor people
I am not a professor nor an economist but you could establish printing house using the 40M dollar + AID + Loan(if needed) so MOE will always print and save cost. Also you can publish the books online for students for those who have internet access.
I appreciate the courage, unfortunately we don't have teachers for PVA at all. Most of all I don't see what's going regarding teacher education. We have spent a lot of time and energy to reform teacher education, unfortunately nothing is happening. Are the staff of Kotebe Education university ready, responsible, and even willing. Another issue is the internet to include 21st century skills in the curriculum framework. Now I don't see anything in the actual curriculum and textbooks. Talk to education veterans.
I never expected Berhanu would display self importance to this magnitude. when asked about racism and tribalism and corruption at universities, he downplayed the questions. Berhanu is not the person he presented himself in medias and different political debates. he is suffering from megalomania.
University found in regions are like private and group limited campany. Grouping, exclusion, nepotism, awuraganet, extreme ethnoctrism etc are common features. Some universities and their colleges are filled with individuals who came from the same regions and villages.
@@TheTellingU I was about to say that... Thanks! Common sense is not common. As the matter of fact they do have soft copies, I know that because I mentor a few kids and I keep up with what they are doing.
It’s disappointing to hear you say that the government couldn’t solve the problems in the education system, and that the proposed solutions are the responsibility of the community and diaspora. I can’t believe this is coming from the person leading the education system.
