It's a good plan with the potential to completely transform the city, and provide jobs and tourism revenue for the city. But how many people will be displaced for this project? As we know people living near these rivers are vulnerable and poor. Their displacement without providing sufficient alternatives for them is just unfair and unacceptable. Has the designer taken into consideration input from the surrounding communities? Is there an environmental assessment study for the project? The city doesn't have a sewer system. It is difficult to have clean rivers without a proper sewer system. just my thoughts
This project is all about Ethiopians' dream will come true. I hope everyone will participate to make it happen on ground beyond the vision and design... Clean,green and well planed capital city is a national wealth and makes all citizens proud.

We all are entitled to dream and share our vision. That is what the PM office is doing. But I am pessimistic about this dream and vision , as it will never get realised in the short term with the mind set of chauvinist Amhara's around him who are praising him as a celebrity, as they blind him with the lip praise and work behind the scene to occupy these plots illegally for selling them later at a higher price or for getting compensation more than market values. The chauvinists will soon occupy all these areas that you showed us in the plan. Thereafter they will start barking and screaming when you try to tell them it is not a safe area to stay in a shake house next to a river or you want to reinforce laws. People with a settler mentality will never display a sense of belongingness or care about development that affects positively future generations. Such people are parasites who prioritize their short term benefit at the expense of their own children fate.
