Khmer Empire were once a powerful and prosperious civilization. Khmer Empire expanded to half part of South East Asia Mainland included all Csmbodia, Laos, Siem( Thai), Vietnam from these modern days territories . But most Cambodians clearly understand that Khmer dance are not like Thai dances at all. Why ?Because there are many Khmer cultures and dances have covered Thai cultures and dances.You do not fully understand it . คนไทยส่วนใหญ่เข้าใจผิดคิดว่ารำเขมรเหมือนรำไทย แต่คนเขมรส่วนใหญ่ เข้าใจชัดเจนว่า รำเขมร ไม่เหมือนรำไทยเลย เพราะวัฒนธรรมเขมรหลายชนิด มาครอบงำ และคุณไม่เข้าใจอย่างถ่องแท้ คุณเข้าใจ ។
It's kinda sad how jealous some (not all) Thai people are when they compare our dancing and constantly mention how this is "their" culture. No, this is Khmer culture. We know our dancing looks way more beautiful and majestic compared to your adaptation of it. Sorry if that's the truth, but if that is the source of your jealousy then that's not our problem.
