Cambodian apsara dance is a beautiful classical dance such as bharatanatyam. I can't imagine the dance almost completely forgotten and lost during the khmer rouge, and so the cambodian people and culture. I guess the communists didn't like beautiful things. Love from america
@@Ranuth096 Are you stupid?? Please think carefully! After the fallen of communistm in Cambodia, thay don't have any knowledge or experience in dance because the nobles all dead. Until Thai government sending dancing teachers to teach them 🙄
@@rose19126 shut your fucking mouth tf🖕🏿Your country don't have any Culture or anything Fuck But I know you are just fucking trash beggar hater i do not reply with People like you😑🖕🏿🤭😌

A part of our history (recorded by a Chinese) is shown that a prince from Indian invaded us while our origin Khmer was controlled by a queen name "Liv Yi". This name was called by that Chinese person and the prince was called "Hun Tian". After he won the war he married our queen and brought some Indian culture to Khmer society. Than we mixed both Khmer and Indian culture together. Some inscription mentioned the prince name is "Kaundinya" and our queen name is "Soma". Source: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Funan
@@EKShare168Kaundinya I was an Indian merchant who came to trade in the kingdom of Funan which is Cambodia present day. He was not an Indian prince. He didn’t invade The kingdom of Funan but he came to trade and our queen thought he came to invade us. Queen Soma was impressed by his bravery so she accepted his proposal and married to him. After their marriage then queen Soma adopted Indian culture to mix Khmer culture because she has Indian husband. It’s not 100 Indian culture in India but it’s mixed Khmer-India culture and Khmer Culture until present.
You happy we're together happily you cry we're together cry love peace keeps peace responsibility peace believe peace love each other together Khmer at one ❤🙏🇰🇭🙏
I never did care much for Prince Ranaridh and i think the feelings are mutual. But,oh how my heart bled for him in the absence of Her Grace Ouk Phalla...........

@Samkev Tha actually first ruler of khmer used to live in java island indonesia. He brough indian culture through java. And yes, java is already an indosphere since long time ago before century or BC. Even java or javadwipa is written in ancient india.

Apsaras their meaning are a celestial Angels dancers . They have significative with their hand gesture and pointing toes indicating the circle of life. These Celestial Apsaras visit the earth and send blessings to humanity . When they raise one of the leg backward meaning they were about to fly and feet’s lifting up front meaning they are about to landed on earth, their circles around meaning they are flying. This Khmer Apsaras dance reflect more of celestial divine journey They are mostly performed for Their Gods, Khmer Kings and high delegate people during Khmer Empire Civilization . Me and my siblings were use to performe , Apsaras dance it’s not an easy dance when it come to body movement and postures. 🙏🇰🇭❤🇰🇭🇰🇭🇰🇭🇰🇭🇰🇭🇰🇭
Thanks i likes and I share this to all my Facebook friends a lots over sea too different countries and my line page too thanks from mey tov chhan 🌹🌹🌹🌹😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
I am Cambodian based on my research I don't think the original Apsaras dancer during Angkor period move this slow. We know that ancient Khmer during Angkor are influenced by Indian culture and religion then you look at all the Hindu/Buddhist kingdom at that time that have similar culture with Khmer from India to Southeast Asia all their dance are not slow like this. There are some Apsaras at Angkor Wat that none of the today dancer have move like it
Yes presence of apsara are there in Indian culture mythological books...even u can see the beautiful pictures of apsara in some historical buildings,..glad to see the dance of apsara in Cambodian culture too...somewhere similar roots we have
Well, in thai classical dance, it is not fast moving like Indian dances either and they claim that their culture came from Indians. So why don’t they move fast like the Indians and jumping around endlessly. Influences from India does not have to be exactly the same. Maybe the original dancers were actually dancing slow. Slower movement in Khmer classical dancing, especially for a Apsaras, is to make slow graceful movements to depict her celestial beauty. Fast movements does not go well with her role as a celestial being.
@@crew if there is a copyright culture law the Thai are in serious violation. Their written language is derived from the Khom/Khmer and their culture is a replicate of Khmer that because the Thai/Tai came from Northern Vietnam and Southern China. They migrated to Khmer Empire in present day Lao and Thailand when the Mongolian invaded China and Northern Vietnam. Then the Khmer Empire fell due to internal conflict civil war
Divine heavenly beauty of the higher ethereal heavenly places. The stillness of the dancers moving with their heads on an even horizontal line shows the awareness of the actual reality of the ethereal body/heaven!!! Known in fullness by the ancients it sure is soothing to my soul to see this awareness still alive today!! This is clearly a byproduct from the Buddhist monks. The round golden circles on the crown are actually spheres which rest on the point of the yellow/golden cone underneath it and the cone sets upon the flat (graduation cap) type square underneath which is all in perfect alignment with the energies of the perfectly postured spine. This is the result of Angels meditating. Thought and emotion outside of a whispering or Tai Chi type of meditation in motion will cause this to depart from the heads of the ethereal angels. The entire angelic hierarchy of the astral body/heaven don't even know the ethereal body/heaven exists because in the rejection of the practice of meditation is the rejection of heavenly peace so they are below in the astral body/world. Christian Angel's are in the astral body/world as you can see most reject meditation. An indescribably beautiful heavenly performance. The Christian angels do have unicorns horns on their heads (Psalms 22:21) as can be seen in the Siam Niramat performance in Thailand but are still oblivious to this next higher heavenly world i.e. the ethereal body/world.
