In my opinion, this is the best version of Khmer's movie, "Tum Teav." The picture quality, cinematography and acting are spectacular, professionally well done. Yaya is amazing in this episode. She earns my respect. Hopefully there will be more episodes to come.
Yeah besides the 1972 version all the ones made after that I didn’t like them, this version although it’s just clips has potential and I like the traditional Khmer music that they used in it.
@@bamkhmer-american7250 Like many things from that era it is forever lost 😞 there’s no copy of it ever found unfortunately. Only the old movie poster and soundtracks still exists.
This is a small and important segment in the story Tum & Teav (based on the novel of the same name). ៚ "Yei Phan" Teav's mother pretended to be seriously ill to trick Teav into leaving fromTum (her newlywed husband) so that she could return to her mother's home, and the mother's plot was to force her into a married a rich aristocrat...៚ This is an early segment for the emotional climax in the story, so the role will be a bit difficult for a young and new girl like Loar Hours, but she did a good job as what we look forward to.. try harder... beautiful and talented girl!
The story of Tum Teav is good for people to learn because it shows how some selfish parents are so greedy they will not consider their kids feelings and force them to marry people they don’t love for their own wealth and benefits in society. Her mom says she want her daughter to marry rich for happiness and wealth so she lives a good life but for Teav she is already happy with her husband who might not be a rich guy but he gives her happiness. Yeay Pan has always been a popular character from the story because she is so evil. The story is believed to be based on true events and characters that took place in the 1500s in Cambodia and the tree 🌳 that they died at is believed to still exist 😱
@@Thida-we2so Hmm, I saw an article on Cambodian Community Day website, called Yeekae (Yike) Tum Teav mentioning that it’s based on actual events that happened long ago but was retold orally by word of mouth.
I have comment about Teav's mother name. The first edition Tom Teav drama Soum Monk who wrote this drama call her #mother's Teav. But second edition call Teav Eak (ទាវឯក) writer provides her Yeay Pan name. Someine said the first edition drama write looking down King Ramajerprey. Thanks
@@tontantot831 the original story was found in bad condition from what I heard but it was written hundreds of years after the actual events, since it was passed down by word of mouth. Then that first original version when found was in poor/bad condition so the next person I believe honorable bothumthera took it and rewrote and changed the story according to what he thought made sense. So the current story isn’t the original original. Also for every director and producer they usually change the story according to how they envision it on screen so it’s can always be different than book.
