Finally, I could hear a resonate explanation. Ppl would think it might be easy to talk in front of the camera. But not at all. Whatever comes first into the brain, it will direct speakers to speak up those words, either Khmer or English words. I would call this as "a spontaneous reaction." If the video is sort of annoying, why not just skip the post and find other appealing contents! Emmm, I am so sick of unethical comments.
Does the brain have a spontaneous motive to show off English vocabulary when a question was asked in Khmer? Nothing she said was coherently functional. That’s the criticism: speak the national language so the general Khmer audience can understand you, or better yet speak all English instead of shamefully degrading our Khmer language like that.
@kellysor3694 In my opinion, I don't find it shamefully degrading our KH language. Using hrash words like "អញ, ហែង, ងែង ..." now flooding on social media. These words shamefully degrading KH culture and dignity. Do u agree with my ideas? Ain't we gonna open mind a bit to criticize her? One more thing, the talkshow aims to spread out IDEAS rather than showing-off vocabularies, Bro. Do you think it is worth showing off English vocabulary like a kid showing off toy on that platform? They pit their efforts to produce such ethical content for relevant audiences.
@@mineamen4431 អញ អ្ហែង អ្ងែង are official words in the Chuon Nath dictionary. I don’t the use for these words in social media degrading Khmer language because it’s natural speech, and very casual vernacular Khmer uses. Also, I don’t see any shame for people who speak like that online or spell it out in Khmer because it’s Khmer language still. Degrading the Khmer language in this context is to intentionally mix English phrases for the purpose of boasting of her “education“ or “class”. The individual speaking mixed languages in this video have come forward on social media to criticize the entire nation for not understanding her mixed English language, citing Cambodia’s lack of education attainment among the critics. So she’s doubling down on elitism, classism, sabotage on national language, and ultimately degrading the Khmer language. She is a national shame and people like you defending her action and speech is in large part the issue of tolerating this disgraceful behavior.
Nowadays almost everyone speaks English. The reasons why people don’t agree on speaking mix languages, because gave the value and to preserve the Khmer language and plus the audience are Khmer not for international.

I've been living in Germany for 38 years till now. I never see that the German people have mixed German and English like the two here, they speak mixed language only for medical and computer, but only a little. What the two of them said here was exaggeration and arrogance.
Well in Malaysia they talk using a lot more English mix Malay and nowadays they think using Malay is less important and using English makes them superior and better. So hopefully Cambodia isn’t turning that way. Cambodia uses a lot of foreign words that as of now I’m not sure what the original Khmer words was? Examples Soo or Soup = English/France for Soup, khmer use it a lot what’s the real khmer word? Sgnow? Call = English , in Khmer it’s Torasup but they don’t use it anymore Cutt = English or French is cut, khmer use this a lot no idea what the original khmer word is Cadeau = French for gift, khmer use it often sooo what is the original khmer word? Jomnoon? Commonge = comanger or order in English and French, so what is the Khmer original word? Ven Ta = Thai is Wen Ta, taken from Thai language. As Ta means EYE, Wen is probably glass or something. So a borrowed word from Thai.
Dude, I have been bullied by people around me because I happen to know English. Let that sink it. They all accuse me of being pretentious with my English just because I mix my English with Khmer.
