>Cimo misreads a powerful set "Ehh, there's not too much I want, so I won't reroll." >Powerful support comes out for older decks "Well, we didn't pull too a good enough core, so it's not really worth chasing." >Cimo plays Chaos for the ∞th time "I don't know why everyone is mad! This is literally the best deck!"
no you don't understand, it's imperative that he saves them for a reprint set where all of the cards are either outdated and powercrept or pretty much impossible to pull, or save them for sets where they're so crazy there's pretty much zero chance you'd actually need to reroll in the first place. Or save them for a set with exactly one good card he really wants that's pretty much impossible to pull even with a redoer ticket
Gage smokescreening out of Inzektor into Worms was such a fucking galaxy brained move. I gotta wonder how long Alex is going to convince himself that "actually it's the viewers that are wrong and Funny Onetrick + Chaos Goodstuff is the best choice last week this week next week all weeks, except when I want to lose with Chain Burn once every 3 or 4 months"
The fact that cimo isn't rerolling any of the packs means he's never getting new good cards. His cards are behind like 4 sets at this point while gage is getting new good cards every set.
I think the more this series goes on the more I think that the banning system just isn't working. Every time someone pulls a good architype that actually does fun stuff they win a few in a row and then a lynchpin card for that architype gets banned and then it's back to the same crap that they've been playing for months. It's pushing anything that would make the games more fun out and keeping the same boring, played out cards around because they just shrug and say "Well I have one of those too and I don't want to go without it".
The ban system is supposed to stop another Blackwing situation, where one player gets a massive advantage just by lucking into a complete archetype that outpaces any random sealed jank the other player has to put together. I honestly don't think the banning itself is an issue, but it sucks when a card gets banned directly after getting pulled. They should maybe include a rule where a card has to stay legal for a certain amount of episodes before it can be banned.
I think the ban system is meant to help incentivize building new strategies. However none of them ever hit chaos boss monsters or stuff that limits you to only one deck like BLS chaos sorc, rescue cat, magical scientist, cause they both have it Kind of unfair that gage has Iwishiwasdead building everything for him, but overall i think it helps the series.
Yeah no Cimoooo deserved this episode. My man got throttled two weeks in a row and when he finally lands on a set that could give him a huge boost AND he has rolls to spare...he instead chooses to take a nothing pull and play the exact same dogshit deck he's been playing for months except now it's even fucking worse because Gage pulled playable Inzektor. Like legitimately there is nothing worth watching until we get rulers at this point because Inzektors aren't long for this world because Cimoooo is just gonna ban them and we'll be back to bad chaos, bad cat, and bad quickdraw.
-Plays zero new cards. - ‘it’s not worth rerolling because it’s a highroll set’ ???? Ok but where’s the harm in trying when you would lose literally nothing out of your initial box?
He only has 3 and 2 of them are user submitted decks (history of jank) or already documented decks (history of ygo). He doesn't do sealed showdown with RJ or auction with Ruxin. And this is the only "creative" series he has. There's no excuse for him to be getting 2-0d week after week, except "uhhhhh well bls and caius are bombs"
I knew the second I saw Cimo's deck early on Patreon that MBT would be disgusted at it, and I wasn't disappointed. Who knows, maybe next week you'll get to see some Frog-narchs supported by the ultimate Toad.
I left yugioh just after when monarchs were introduced to the game and didnt come back till 6 months before links were introduced. I missed a lot. I love watching this series especially with mbt commentating.
The average duelist is better now for sure. But I think people are under-estimating the top end of duelists here. Easy to look at things in hindsight with years of theorying and development and see how they could of been done better, less easy in the moment with only a couple of months to build and play. Wouldn't be surprised if others are saying the same in 5-10 years time. There's even been instances in edison where modern concepts have been tried and found not to be as effective as expected.
@@corbinkendall6330 that’s what I’m saying, and he wonders why we complain about him playing chaos every week. He has chances to play fun decks, but he won’t respin if he doesn’t get what he needs, or he does get it, but then it’s “not viable”
I legit did go play Vanguard because of Order of Chaos format. It legit changed my life, and I made lifelong friends by changing up my card game. Fucking Inzectors lol
Their banning system defeats the whole concept of progression series, since after 3 weeks that a decent deck gets its core card chopped one is back to playing chaos like it's 2006
Brilliant... It's the same Cimo deck vs "The game is over for you". Perfect way to lose. Sorry, just feel Gage's decks each time are something crazy and I cringed each time I see Caius in the same deck. I mean if this was your only Deck than yea, I can get that... not a pool of cards. How long till Caius is gone huh? Dragon Rulers?! I doubt it.
At this point cimo needs to be ALL in on one day of peace, scarecrow, t roar, fader, etc. Chainables that give you another turn. Yes theyre neg 1s but the amount of times ive seen him brick with cards that if they were scarecrows or roars, he couldve mounted a comeback. Also he needs tk branch out of the generic "good decks" hes been playing. Cat, quickdraw, monarch, chaos.dek and actually figure something out because at this rate im starting to see him as a 1 trick pony. Blackwings are his only saving grace and gage made sure he wasnt gonna be on that any time soon. I havent kept track of his pulls but i saw a comment that made sense. Gage is playing the game PROGRESSIVELY while cimo feels like hes 5 sets behind. Caius and bls just dont cut it anymore. Play cyber dragon machine aggro, something not chaos
Cimo has a better Gladiator Beast core than Gage, so unbanning it would hurt him more. Though maybe it would have been for the better just to get Cimo off of those terrible decks.
