Titanic: Penned shortly after our separation, "Titanic" encapsulates my initial doubts about our decision to part. Although our breakup was amicable, I began questioning if we'd made an error, even yearning for us to remain friends. This song embodies my promise to her that, regardless of circumstances, she could always rely on me. Trying To Let You Go: "Trying To Let You Go" serves as a musical narrative of my healing journey, highlighting my struggles to accept our relationship's end. The song conveys my battle with jealousy as my ex moved on, my futile attempts to retain our connection, and my subsequent realization that I needed to embrace the painful path towards closure. Recycle My Heart: Written amidst my attempts at moving on, "Recycle My Heart" paints a vivid picture of the pain I endured when my efforts to date others merely amplified my heartache. It symbolizes the rejection of my love, as if my heart was merely recycled and tossed aside. Missing Her So: "Missing Her So" was one of the most challenging songs to write, born from rumors of my ex-partner's new relationship. This song, written to her new partner, captures my raw emotions - disbelief, betrayal, and a desperate plea for them to understand that she was meant to be with me. This track is a poignant tribute to the profound isolation I felt, mourning a person who was just a few minutes away. Loved To Be Loved By You: "Loved To Be Loved By You" emerged from the realization of the scarcity of love in my life. It celebrates the deep yearning to both give and receive love. Waterfalls: "Waterfalls", written as summer faded into autumn, marks the painful acceptance of the inevitable truth - our reunion was merely a figment of my imagination. Break My Fall: One of the initial compositions post-breakup, "Break My Fall" resonates with the raw emotions of a novice to heartbreak. I cherish this song, as it was my initial discovery of my songwriting potential. Maybe Our Final Night: "Maybe Our Final Night" is an ode to our last night together. A memory of watching her sleep, battling the fear that we were making a grave mistake, and wishing I could alter the past, as in the film "Interstellar". Voicenote 2 (LMTBTA): "Voicenote 2 (LMTBTA)" is a candid outpouring of emotions, centering on the dilemma of holding on to a non-existent love or letting go. Haunted: "Haunted" reflects my quest for the perfect song - the one that would encapsulate all my emotions and provide closure.
