I start the car at just after 4:00 mark. the Chronicling this chapter of Mustang ownership. Some ramblings, and then street driving, and a few street launches at the end.
Happy Treasure That Talking TuesYAYYY Amazing Hubby!!! Release Da Coupe Beast!!! I do love The Start Up..The Sound of Let’s Get Ready To Tear It Up!!! Loved 2nd gear!!! WOOHOO!!! 🎉🎉🎉
This is my second viewing. I'm curious. Your expectations are valid. Similar engines I've built for clients have exceeded similar. What are your thoughts to why power output came out low?
@@arturozarate1752 million $ question. Procharger says my F1 was made in 2006 and there have been a lot of improvements since then. Likely, 7psi is only a few PSI past the break even point for how much power it takes to turn the blower. Upgrading the head unit to new tech with no other changes could have a huge impact. I have upgraded to a straight through muffler and bell mouth. Plan on rebaselining at current boost level and then with 5 more psi with 93 and then E85
@@arturozarate1752 exactly. This is a recreational car. At current power it is barely holding traction on the street. I have was reading today that an upgrade from an f1 to an F1a-94 can net as much as 200 rwhp. I am thinking that around 800-900rwhp will get me to 9.50ish at 150ish mph. Is where I want to be. If my setup isn’t the most efficient is not relevant to me
@@427W_coupeSomething wrong bro. You should be making way more power with that huge race cam. Easily 600wheel all motor with a manual transmission. Whats motor spin to, like 7800
Hey you wont get 600wheel all motor with a big stalled th400 unless you run super high compression and drag race solid roller cam, but then your valvetrain will be super high maintenance and probably not last long and drive bad on steet and crappy bottom end....etc If all you care about is dyno numbers than run a stick, if you want a super fast dig car than a big stalled th400 will blow everything away. If you are making 627wheel with blower through a big stalled th400 and 410 gears and 3k lb car, you have a 9.5 street car or maybe even Faster. I have a 500wheel 68 mustang fuel injected 438windsor big stalled th400 e85 weighs 3k lbs gears and only a plaid can beat me so far. When i get my novi 2k i will be 700plus wheel and running low 9's. Right now i am all motor street solid roller cam street strip car i can drive anywhere and low maintenance valvetrain and reliable and dependable with crazy fast bottom end and spins 7200rpm
Thanks for the detailed reply. My ability to get it through a manual transmission is probably the hugest limiting factor to good ET. Not saying I won’t put auto in it in the future but right now I just enjoy rowing through the gears.
Cool car bro. Couldn't tell if they guy in the golf cart was waving with which finger? Forced induction is so cool. Debating on supercharger vs. turbo. I think supercharger. Thanks for posting!
You definitely are going to need more sidewall. Do what you have to do to get those Welds under the car and with the right weight transfer, you'll hook much better and those 60 foot times will cut way down. You know this, though. I'm not telling you anything. Car looks snd sounds fun. Enjoy!!
😂😂😂 the F1on the street....I love it! Maybe 14 years ago I thought my little brother was an idiot for running one on the street. Then I drove his '03 Cobra. I'm still waiting to run mine on my 93 Cobra.
If you don't mind me asking....what's the compression and cam specs? Opening closing events, centerline, etc.... Boost is just a measure of back pressure. So if your intake track(throttle body to the valve) flows really well you'll see a smaller number, but the blower speed should give you a better idea of how much air the engine is seeing. That along with your fuel consumption would lend an idea of how much more speed you'll need to get the power number you're looking for. That F1 is more than capable of getting you to 1,000. I believe we pushed my lil bro's to 21psi on a 10 rib(maybe 12) before we went to a cog with an ATI Super Pulley. That should have been the first and only drive system upgrade in my opinion. No belt issues after that. Anyway, I'm just curious and thinking I may have something to offer from my experiences with similar cars. I'm in no way trying to tell you how to build or change your car. Sometimes another set of eyes can help find something you've been missing. I'll keep watching
Most of the build specs are listed in the description of this vid. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-6QdGxExJ9Ns.htmlsi=BKHO0M-DD_ZEOmeo. Otherwise, email me a Lance.hartman @ gmail.com and I can send a pic of the full cam card
