‘All you feel is the burning in your throat’ - Grenfell survivor remembers five years on 

To be blunt, I think it should be declared by the inquiry, coroner's inquest or whatever is going to declare anything in this case that the 72 people were unlawfully killed. Yes, the fire started by accident but the lack of care and total negligence is beyond disgusting. I just hope this leads to a complete overhaul of tower block safety in the UK. Nothing can bring the 72 people lost back, but hopefully it can be ensured that nothing this horrific ever occurs again.

Lord Pickles needs a trip to france, he doesn't care about the plight of the common people only the gold he sits on

I see my relatively innocuous but direct comment about Lord Pickles has been removed. I maintain he is an utterly contemptable human being for the way he spoke at the inquiry.

It was totally insensitive of Lord Pickles to talk about the “nameless” victims of this tragedy. What is more, when he said 96 people had died at Grenfell Tower (the actual total was 72) he was talking about the wrong tragedy, it was the Hillsborough Football Stadium disaster in 1989 that killed 96 people, all fans of Liverpool Football Club. However he did apologize and I hope that apology has been accepted.

I often wonder if the stay put policy stopped even more deaths from happening. My heart aches for all those who lost there life, all those poor innocent souls, but also all those who are suffering in the present day.

this never would have happened if people cared more for people than money.all they were concerned with was savin as much money as they could usin faulty cladding on the building probably knowing it was not safe

I have a busy schedule... But this is Important... Apparently not since his frustration was evident. Who is getting paid. Why the delay in helping the victims... Sounds like Aberfan all over... Passing the responsibility to someone else is quite evident here. Are we waiting for leaders, owners, officials to be in position of safety that they can't be touched or sued? What about buildings that have PE. A visitor from another country stays in one of those structures it catches fire and they die. What about them? My heart 💔 for this guy losing his wife and kids. No one ever comes back fully from that. God be with the survivors and families as they get justice for the murder of loved ones. God know ms who the guilty parties are and they will be exposed for their part.

What wickedness is this man representing? Wickedness collateral God help this man who is in such a position has exposed these people who. Clearly dont have Gods heart.
