I listened to Seun Kuti's speech and I was quite impressed. Seun said he's not suffering like majority of Nigerians but can understand and can imagine their situation/plight". The NLC had great respect in years gone by(can't really say how long ago) but their position has become so highly politicised (producing the likes of an ex governor ie Oshomole). NLC has translated into Nigerian Loosers' Council - laughable and very sad. Politicians only speak their "truth" prior to elections, the pleasure they get from deceiving the entire nation has become so malignant that they can't find the way to their "butt holes" and it's beginning to cloy. I hope and pray that the youths can see clearly now and be ready for the future that's not too far away, amen.
I feel extremely gratified to listen to Fela's son. I pray that you remain focused and able to carry on your father's good work for the dignity of Nigerians.
Seun omo oko ni e. Thanks for your truth and sincerity. NLC don't have the welfare of the people at heart. They are there for their own selfish reasons, to enrich themselves at the expense of the masses. God 🙏 bless you Seun.
Seun Kuti son of his father the legendary musician Fela A Kuti hit the nail on the head by basically saying the NLC & TUC (UNIONS) is no longer achieve its principles to create a platform politically, NOT just calling strike alone. There appears to be laziness within the leadership in the Unions as across the Country and compromised in negotiations with FG representing only it's members of 3%. Even though each time there's a call for a general public strike by all Nigerians for the Unions causes. 2ndly, the Unions must review and redefine its constitution to re establish the art of negotiations on behalf of all employed citizens according to their written laid down and outlined mandated aims/objectives to LIBERATE & protect ALL NIGERIANS workers as EMPLOYEES. Nigerians remains Powerless under present Govt of President M Buhari as in the days of Ex-President Jonathan Govt 8 years ago since 2012 general strike, the lists of demands and NEGOTIATED outcomes were far apart. Without guarantees to fight when it MATTERS, NLC & TUC should not rely on the support of fellow Nigerians. Censoring the people via worthless negotiations with FG No Dey work
Baba Fela Anikulapo the Oluwo of kalakuta republic RIP (Return If Possible), I knew you are happy when you look dawn I see My brother Seun Anikulapo the crowned prince of Kalakuta empire. Ancestor lives...
We need to differentiate between business and public service, stealing is not business but a crime and public service alone should be the reason why politicians should vie for positions so they can genuinely address the plight of the populace. A TUC, TLC union morphed into a political party will already tell us this people are fighting for a change without the largesse of stolen money and will give the people better clarity of their choice when it come to electing people to public office, that decisions can be made based on character of candidates rather than how much they have spent to buy a vote.
Seun kuti need to be protected, he has the vibrancy to lead the country out of oppression. Always truthful and sound about the situation on ground #SaveSeunVoice
If only Nigerians are outspoken and standing by it as u @RealSeunKuti this country would have since be a place called not zoo, many tanker explosion in d country is à result for bad roads not just only vehicles colliding dat is d only damage bad roads cause but also this bcos they might have over stay on the single Journey and also container falling on other small vehicles in a result for bad road, nobody to stand up for d people passing through this in country instead they've close doors meeting to negotiate their pocket and thereafter come out to say God will help us...
They ve been traitors all along and that's y we are in the present predicament. Otherwise, how come, some ppl earn millions and the minimum wage remains #18,000.00. Is this minimum wage equates the United Nations Salary Standard? Which is 10% of
Which is 10% of the maximum earner. We are equal b4 the law, go to same market, raise family and similar aspirations. Most importantly, the Resources belongs to us all, including the unemployed and the entire population. Thanks.
I feel insulted when these idiots in the NLC negotiated for N30k minimum wage without asking for any parity between minimum wage and what the federal law makers make.
