He is another "Jesse Smollett" Who goes into a bank with a hat, sunglasses and mask? Who then hands a note to the teller asking for money to be given to him discreetly? Banks are always on alert for suspicious behavior. Granted, the teller wasn't very bright, but his actions made her feel uneasy and she reported it. That is what bank staff are trained to do.

"His account triggered an alert", the teller never looked at his ID or account. She was bothered because he kept asking her to read the note when she kept asking questions. Even when she made the 911 call she didn't read his note correctly but you could tell the operator was even confused because she said, "maybe he wants to be discreet". Which was exactly what the note said. The teller and the management should be fired. Their incompetence put people at risk.
She called the police. I have listened to the 911 call. She had all his identification and he put in the correct PIN number. The teller and manger are idiots

For all of you that think he was in the wrong. NOPE. He did what he has done in the past. He has gone to a branch and done this very same thing before without issues. He filled out the withdrawal slip on the front and on the back he wrote the note. He was trying to be discreet. All this teller had to do was match the ID he provided her along with his Bank card. She did not do that. She focused on the note and ignored everything else.
It's worse when you find out on top of all the documentation he gave the note was written on the back of a filled out withdrawal slip. It wasn't a random blank paper. And that the teller is black.
"i want to withdraw 12,000 FROM MY CHECKING ACCOUNT" is how the note started off......THE TELLER DIDN'T INCLUDE THAT PART ON THE CALL. And she left out him having ID, inserting his debit card and entering the pin. A simple few questions by that dum taller could have prevented the entire ordeal
This certainly is about him being Black. Wether the teller is Black or not has nothing to do with it. Black people have Stockholm syndrome. A part of that is also thinking that other Black people are “up to something” and they must do something or be some type of watchdog for management. So it’s not uncommon for a Black person to mistreat other Black people via racism. It just isn’t, especially based on what this country has done to Black people psychologically. Having ALL of this man’s credentials should have not led him into handcuffs. So the teller and the Bank should be held responsible. I’ve also had this happen to me at the bank when receiving large funds, being told I had to call in advance for such an amount. Called Wells Fargo corporate and they had no such policy, called other banks in the area, they had no such policy, it’s the constant mistreatment. Then the “just forget about it” thoughts creep up, without anyone ever really thinking about what these events do to Black people on a mental health level. What seeing these events over and over do on a mental health level. But they want us to care about a war in the Ukraine. I am baffled by some of these comments. I don't care what her race was, she should be fired and the bank manager as well. Why would a robber give their id, bank card and pin number. It was in an affluent area Buckhead Ga.(Atlanta).That is caught up thinking she made it so, in that area of town it's felt like a black man has no reason to be in this bank. As the officers had him cuffed and on the way out someone said nice job guys. He could have been killed. He has gotten his money like this in the past just not in Atlanta. We know what it is and they should all be fired including the officers that wouldn't let him explain.
It's just the ignorance of the teller which was then backed up by her supervisor that's too much! Neither followed any sort of protocol! This man could of lost his life over this "misunderstanding" they should both be fired!!!
AMAZING how these Reports miss important details like the fact gave his Drivers License, he put in his Bank Card and entered his PIN for confirmation and the Bank said his Account triggered a flag. Right… a standard flag for any withdrawal over $10,000 but someone high strung in Bank of America wanted to escalate this unnecessarily. I had Bank of America freeze my Account as a Home Builder and 2 days later claim it was all just a mistake. But 5 Managers all came into the Bank Office asking me to reconsider when I came in to close My Account with Bank of America. Too much of a headache for no extra benefit.
Bank of America treats Clients like they should be HONORED to let them hold and trade our money for their profit. Nah, I’m good. Two Way respect is only fair.
The headline for this video is misleading. It was the bank teller that mistook him for a robber and the police acting on that arrested. I’m not an apologist for the police, but it was the terrible decision by the bank teller that put his life at risk of being killed by the police. In many of these cases of the police shooting of black men in particular it is the person making the 911 call that is to blame. Because the police turn up and their mentality is already to use their guns so the 911 caller providing bad witness information creates a terrible situation.
It is not uncommon for clients to hand notes to the teller for the exact reason he provided-their safety. You never know who is listening and may notice that you have a large amount of cash on you ; times are hard for many. Also , you are NEVER to call the police while the robber is still in the building ; it could cause a hostage situation or worse . An institution like BOA definitely holds annual , if not quarterly ,Robbery training . She needs to be fired and if she was advised by her manager to call the police , they also need to be fired . Had he been an actual robber (instead of an innocent man withdrawing money from his account )she could’ve put her self and her coworkers at risk.

The teller freaked out and called the carabinari(Italian police), even though they only needed 2 proofs of ID, they asked for my passport, social security card, birth certificate, fingerprints, codici fiscali(like an Italian social security number), proof of insurance, 6 proofs of residency(bills, cell phone account, etc), driver's license,...I just happened to have these documents in my backpack in a binder😎. Nonetheless, they called my bank, AT&T, the US Consulate, my employer, and my insurance. This took over 3 hours!
