They need to admit that they spied on a presidential candidate, that they used an opponents opposition research to manufacture a false narrative, that they used the FBI to spy on and prosecute only those on the other side, allowed the CIA to lie to Congress, spent millions of dollars investigating a false narrative that knew was bogus, prosecuted and jailed presidential executive advisors, undid centuries of executive privilege precedent, put opposition followers in jail without trial and give out decade long sentences for misdemeanors, weaponize the judicial branch thereby destroying confidence in the system. Those are just a small part of what they need to be held accountable for.

Immunity is already built into the constitution for the president, but only for official acts done in the name of the office. It's why Bush isn't in prison for war crimes after 9/11 and why Obama isn't in prison for that drone strike. What happened on 1/6/21, I'd argue, is an act of candidate Trump, not president Trump. It doesn't qualify for immunity. Then again, I'm no judge or lawyer, so what do I know?
