‘Climate alarmist’: We ‘don’t hear much from Tim Flannery’ anymore

Sky News host Chris Kenny has labelled Tim Flannery a “climate alarmist” over his past predictions, saying we don't “hear much" from Flannery anymore.
Mr Flannery had previously claimed “even the rain that falls isn’t actually going to actually fill our dams and our river system”.
“Since Flannery said that back in the days when Labor made him the nation's climate commissioner, the Warragamba Dam has overflowed at least five times, triggering repeated flooding in the Hawkesbury and ongoing concerns of course,” Mr Kenny said.
“The dam is currently at over 98 per cent capacity.
“Yep, Tim Flannery, he warned we'd face permanent drought, and that our oceans would rise and all the rest of it - he's the climate alarmist who bought a waterfront property.
“It seems even he doesn't believe his own fear-mongering.”

I stand not as your demons, but as your King. and the words of which i speak are purest of all. They speak of the elixir within and the sufferage of its burden. and as your King i urge you to remain strong in your focus and to with-weild your desires as not a temptress or toad may distract us from our derivative. A maiden of farity is worth a thousand of wench. And the witches and haggards we pass and those that follow, to provoke from us our desire and take our elixir in which to deny it from those in which in which by the advertance of god placed for us to serve, and from whom to serve us. Stand strong and resist these demon spawn and fail not to produce their kind. For they are the spawn of elixir of inert and evil. And those of whom tempt and torment and be disloyal to all. Degrade they must the maiden so fair my men will remain strong until such a time would come when our cumbersome load with fathom in glory and well up and muster a child bore from the angel of heaven.

Denialists like Bolt and Kenny claim that Flannery meant by this that our dams would never fill again at any time for any reason from the date Flannery was speaking. However, what Flannery was actually saying that climate trends at the time indicated a long-term outcome of normalized water shortage consistent with IPCC projections Flannery’s comments were to the effect that Australia was at the time currently experiencing a 60% fall in run-off going into dams due to hotter soils and greater rainfall take-up by drought-stressed vegetation and that this would be indicative of what we could eventually expect as a consistent and normal outcome in the future. He did not say that the dams would never fill again at any time from the date he was speaking, which is the thick-as-a-brick intentionally distorted view presented by Bolt and fellow travellers. Flannery was pointing to a long-term outcome of normalized water shortage based on current data and climate trends. Flannery’s quote in context is: We’re already seeing the initial impacts and they include a decline in the winter rainfall zone across southern Australia, which is clearly an impact of climate change, but also a decrease in run-off. Although we’re getting say a 20 per cent decrease in rainfall in some areas of Australia, that’s translating to a 60 per cent decrease in the run-off into the dams and rivers. That’s because the soil is warmer because of global warming and the plants are under more stress and therefore using more moisture. So even the rain that falls isn’t actually going to fill our dams and our river systems

IPCC? A communist run organisation that makes predictions based upon computer mathematical models that have all proved to be 100% wrong over the last 20 plus years, as to be expected. "denialist" is of course a derogatory communist term used by communists like you when it is in fact you "CLIMATE TERRORISTS" who are denial of the of the truth, for political reasons. There are tens of thousands of independent, well qualified Physicists, Geologists, Engineers and Others who have conclusively proved with FACTS that there is no such thing as "human caused climate change", as you well know.

Plants suffer less moisture stress at a given soil moisture level at higher co2 concetrations, as their stomata does not need to stay open as long in order to absorb the required amount of co2, thus reducing respiratory loss
