What absolutely blew my mind was the Russian who denied there was any war before Ukraine invaded, but admitted Russians were "just firing" across the border for months. JUST FIRING? Not at war, just FIRING at your neighbors?!

Thank you, James and Operator Starsky. Great episode. Ok. I live in the US. I am an American. The Supreme Commander of NATO is always an American. There are reasons for it. America has the most powerful military in history. The Americans foot a dispreportional amount of the funding for NATO. America has committed to come running should any NATO country be attacked (presumably by Russia). However, the Supreme Commander is subordinate to the President of the United States. I don't know why, the Biden Administration can't, or won't, get the promised aid to Ukraine in a timely manner. In some ways, the aid delay is worse than the restrictions on western weapons. What happened to the much praised US Military Logistical Network? Maybe a contract with FedEx is in order. "When it absolutely, positively has to get there overnight..." I understand that I am not entitled to know the pushes and pulls, the ups and downs, the this, that, and the other behind vital military decision making. But, come on Joe, and JAKE, (just me, keeping it real). Wake up and smell the coffee! Let Ukraine fight a proper war! You may be preventing WWIII if you do. Save Ukrainian lives. Remove restrictions now.

My respect, admiration, empathy and grief for the Ukrainian people is immense. Those who have to make the decisions, those who have to fight, those who have to support the fighters , especially the medical teams, those who are survivors of either loss of a relative or friend, those who have been badly wounded physically or mentally in the fighting or civilians by missiles on their cities and villages.. The enormity of what all the people are going through at all levels in the society, the emotional impact of the many personal losses they are suffering with such dignity and determination to survive - is incredible. I believe that millions in the world are in awe of their strength and resilience under such barbaric attacks and killing and torture and infrastructure destruction of their homeland.. The fighters on the front lines are truly heroes out of that community of amazing people.. and we must support to victory whstever it takes 😔

I don't think that the Russian people in those areas that have become occupied by Ukrainian soldiers need to be protected from those soldiers, rather they need to fear the insane antics of their fearless leader and his servile goons.

What is frightening is that Putin's strategy of attrition may yet win out. This Canadian often wonders if NATO troops couldn't occupy the west side of Ukraine in order to free up Ukrainian troops to fight in the east and in Russia.

Really good to hear intelligent and realistic talk about the war, but also about Western interests and dangers to Ukraine. Zelensky has proven to be an amazingly intelligent leader, but he clearly has great advisers as well. I've always respected comedians as highly intelligent. You have to be, to be truly funny!

Rasputiza approaches, behind him the "winter general", the Ukrainian forces retreat slowly and with perfect timing towards the city of Prokovsk, leaving the Russian soldiers on the steppe or dispersed across several villages (creating yet another serious logistical supply problem), consolidate positions in Kursk and corner part of russian army in the north of the oblast... all of this smells like a death trap for Putin's army.

I don't get it. The Pootin and Russian leadership ordered Kursk abandoned and surrendered to Urkaine. Pootin is a scary guy. All Russians are scared of him. I think Ukraine would find St Petersburg as pro Ukrainian. They should consider going North to the Baltic. It’s my opinion, but taking farmland as an equal to the Black Sea Coastline that Russia has occupied is not a good swap. I think the RU-vid channel is 1420 that interviews young Russians about the SMO in Ukraine. In Moscow everyone is apolitical, while in St Petersburg the young people are anti Putin. Shoreline for Shoreline would get Putins attention.
