Mixed feelings here. On the one hand, I get the sense that it may not be as close as it seems given the way things have been moving but on the other hand, I’m incredibly anxious about how close this election has been advertised as. Certainly too close for comfort. One thing I do know - I’ll feel far more relieved once I vote for Harris/Walz this week in South Carolina. We’re at the finishing stretch. Go vote and hold fast, everyone.

The risk is if you wait to the election day something can happen that you might not be able to vote. Most countries in Europe votes in a sunday, not a workingday.
Sunday is a working day for more than a few people in the US and Europe. Early voting allows voters to participate in the process on a day that works with their schedules.

I use mail-in voting to avoid the long lines at polling places, avoid any gun toting MAGA vigilantes 'guarding' the polls, and have the time to research down ballot candidates so I can make informed decisions voting for state candidates, judges and referendums. It is just convenient.
