Well that Explains it perfectly then 😂😂 In fact that sums our season too. These players are just complacent and tired. Pep and some fans won't admit it but it's just the sad truth. Achieving the Treble was just a very f cking high celing the club reached and who knows if we reach it again. These players aren't really motivated this season and that's why we haven't beaten any Traditional big team this season except our sh*t neighbours. I recently saw Haaland in an interview asked about his career here in City and he gave a response that was like him saying "i've already won it all there's really nothing else to do again" and that got me very worried. The only reason we're first in the Pl right now was cuz our title rivals messed up themselves in different occasions not just this sunday. Hope we can still do the double but I won't be suprised if we don't. They just need to get that hunger back for next season knowing winning just 1 UCL from their standards is simply just not enough. Big mistake to play Grealish in starting team, also letting Erling playing 90 min being such a nobody on the pitch. Other than that, Bernardo lost his mind in the penalty spot and to put Kovacic in the 5 takers is just beyond me. Atk’ing wise, Madrid can’t even play their style but just long balls, fast contra’s, City did what they usually do and dominate the pitch. Before doku real’s defense was tired and Doku/team used that so well. But it is football and especially in the knockout stages it is a brutal sport. Been told this morning, that Txiki held meeting with agent at cfa during the open yraining session he was at city tuesday. Told that deal for Dani Olmo, who can play left and right wing, false 9 and attacking midfield os vertually done, all that remains is discussions with RB Lipsik who city ate speaking to sort deal out rather than pay release clause, but will pay it if negotiations dont go anywhere. 5 year deal and peesonal terms ate agreed. Release clause is £51m or €60m euros if city can do a deal with RB means they can pay over the 5 years. He is seen as a versatile, multi position player similar to bernardo Silva. Olmo has agreed to everyrhing player side, deal very close. His signing may end city chase for Lucas Paquata as at this stage itvis unlikely the English FA clears his investigation before the summer, as initially he was reported to Brazilian FA who dropped him but they have decided not to take it further which is why he was recalled recently. Haaland, sorry to say overrated yes very much so as one pundit recently said league 2 player at best and no i don't support Man Utd. I just listen to ex-players that have done it all and worn that particular t-shirt and knows what it is like to give a 110% every time he stepped on to a football pitch, So when a player asks to be pulled from such a big game is disgraceful and for a coach to agree well, no comment.
