A press photographer pleaded with security while being dragged out of the Conservative party conference on Wednesday.

Footage shared on social media shows the man carrying multiple cameras, telling security guards ‘I haven't done anything, I'm not being aggressive’ while being physically removed from the conference hall. It is not immediately clear why the man was removed.

FYI a party spokesperson has contacted this photographer to apologize for his treatment. Treatment which is clearly representative of the way the modern Tory party are heading with their blatantly obvious fascistic M.O. I'm surprised you haven't noticed, they don't hide it whatsoever.

From 'The Guardian' article on their website: Quote: "A Conservative party spokesperson said: “We are aware there was an incident earlier today where a photographer was removed by venue security staff. We believe there may have been a misunderstanding and have been in contact with the photographer.” Akmen confirmed Conservative campaign headquarters had been in touch to apologise, adding that he was waiting for a formal apology to be sent." End Quote. What is it with these Conservatives? They can't even organise their own conference personnel properly, let alone run their beloved failed union properly.

Is false imprisonment a thing in the UK? How are they TELLING him that he's been arrested? In the US, if event staff touched you like this, you'd own the conference hall by the end of the court cases. Is it the same there?

Sounds like he got trespassed. he would legally need three warnings to leave then security can force him to leave, otherwise it's assault.

It’s trespassing. When you’re told to leave private property and don’t you become a trespasser, reasonable force can be used to remove a trespasser.

The statements from the Conservatives indicate it was a "mistake" - in other words, battery. Assault in both legal systems is threatening force, battery the use of force. And those boyos should now be facing criminal charges.

Those security guards have the right to call the police but they aren't the police and have no right to manhandle anyone. The security guards are just private citizens with as many rights as anyone else which doesn't include assaulting the photographer. They should have called the police.

@@cocos8903 It’s better with a few men as they can restrain and control the conditions of removal. It’s safer for everyone to avoid injury. Seems counter intuitive I guess but it is what it is. Reporter in this instance would’ve been given ample opportunity to leave verbally but obviously refused.
