As far as child care goes, it’s always going to be hard for a mom to work and effectively take care of her kids. I’ve met professors that successfully did it but that required their kids to be in their office with them as well as a dedicated husband sharing the burden. It’s so much easier to focus on one extremely time consuming job, instead of two.

One point I must get across, as a Veteran myself, the Airmen, Soldiers, and Sailors which man our Military do not have a say in when, and what they are deployed for. They follow orders, that is what they signed up for. Basically, you are giving yourself to the whimms of the upper command to follow orders. No and, ifs, or buts about it.
In my honest opinion, married Military members should be the first to get childcare benefits, top of the list, in the event they are both deployed. It's a no brainer.
