In my opinion, the Democrats should have QUICKLY and QUIETLY told Mr. Biden to step down behind closed doors, even forcibly taking him down if necessary. During this period they would have had more than sufficient time to select another viable candidate from within their own ranks. But this prolonged Dog and Pony Show has taken such a disastrous toll on their already beleaguered party that nothing but his early removal would have spared them such public humiliation, both to the Biden family in particular and their entire party as a whole.
