Former British commander Richard Kemp has commented on the “incredibly sophisticated” and “most carefully focused attack” on pager devices owned by Hezbollah members.
Several people were killed, and 4,000 were wounded after handheld pagers belonging to Hezbollah members exploded.
“It’s probably about the most carefully focused attack you could ever launch against a terrorist organisation because it’s targeted on individuals who are members of the Hezbollah terrorist organisation,” Mr Kemp told Sky News Australia.
“It’s incredibly sophisticated work, presumably by Israeli intelligence, although they haven’t acknowledged that it was them who did it.”
