Im not a keralite, I have been to Varkala and was shocked to see the so called "beautiful coast". So terribly maintained and barely any amenities or safety for people. There was just one police station for all of the city. and ththere is none close to the touristic place. You have to travel easily an hour to get there
@@mathangi93 Bro I live in Varkala😂. Born and brought up here. Beach is just 3km away from my home. Varkala has adequate police stations. I think the police station you saw will be situated in maithanam junction.. Varkala is just a small town.. Local body here is Municipality not Coorporation..There are many panchayats surrounding to varkala town and there is adequate force. In newyear and Karkkidaka vavu occasions additonal forces are deployed here. And the beach is well maintained than goa or any other beach spots in entire nation. If you are saying about the shops and resort construction in ledge I may agree with you.. The municipality is ruled by LDF - front led by CPIM.. The major opposition party is BJP. The point is if municipality strengthen its power against these resorts and other enterprises the BJP and their IT cell will brand the entire Kerala as hell of entrepreneurs. They have done this earlier too..Especially Tourism is one of the backbone of this State... It will affect the investment in Kerala..

Yeah, it's time for Kerala government to isolate all the Hindu temples from it's control and establish a separate Hindu temple development and maintenance authority. Kerala government can instead focus on beauty tourism.

And FYI, the temples in Kerala are well preserved. Don't mix politics to politicise temples and communal harmony in Kerala. Please ensure the roof of Ramji temple is not leaking and start an investigation why it happened rather than questioning Kerala.

I am from Kerala. Keralites should take responsibility and accountability of our own mistake. It's not the right thing to always escaping from responsibilities by blaming the centre. Kerala make such good amount of money from tourism but have you seen the conditions of our roads. How many illegal constructions we have built in our forests. Due to land scape mismanagement by government authorities many houses in the foothills of kerala had gone under eroded rock and soil.

How can tourism locations be pristine? If Varkala and Papanasham are pristine locations as per him, he doesn't know the meaning of the word pristine. And it is not just the state govt that is responsible for destroying actual pristine locations, the Central Environment ministry should also be held responsible for giving clearance for 'developmental' activities in these pristine locations.
Kerala does not need any spiritual circuits, what we need is a rèligion neutral tourism, in which those who want religion be accorded. Foreign tourist are least bothered about religion, what they want is a jolly time enjoying the scenes and beauty of kerala.
I'm not taking sides with any political party here. But many of the tourists who come to India, especially from the West are coming for spiritual reasons, as well as to see Kerala. So having both types of tourism is a good idea.
