For Canada Day, I visited a town of about 10,000 in Western Ontario. Local businesses and government contributed to a fireworks show that lasted over 15 minutes. For someone who remembers the old shows in Vancouver, I was thoroughly impressed. I think British Columbia does a disservice to any sense of community when they cancel shows, prohibit fireworks, and outlaw fun. Complainers are at the controls and it shows.
