Caitlynes I notice that in most of his interviews. He looks down at his feet, He can’t sit still and he mutters his words when he talks. Yeah he might be a bit shy. Not quite used to this giant fan base yet.
Barbara said they don’t include Bill in the interviews before the movie comes out because she wants people to see what he looks like with the clown makeup on before seeing his actual face!
Nayops 18 No, it makes sense. The part one I watched 2 years ago, it was the 2nd week. The moment Pennywise was first shown on screen w/ Georgie, there were fangirls screaming & giggling inside the theater. Good move from the producers as they’re aware of his looks.
Victoria Rodriguez The thing is though people can easily know what he looks like just by googling or seeing other films he’s been in, I think it would just be better if he got to be interviewed with everyone else I guess
Alexander Skarsgård explains their shyness very good in an interview called something like 'Alexander Skarsgård is too Swedish to be cocky' y'all should watch it xD
idk where this newfound confidence came from but i love it he seems so different this time he’s out here making jokes and he’s not stuttering as much what a king
I don't remember him being the way you described before? Maybe I viewed it differently? Awkwardness doesn't equal lack of confidence, even though it can mean being uncomfortable.
Norma Lilia, when “Hemlock Grove” first came out, I watched it & fell in love with the show & Bill. Then, I saw him in other films & I’m like, “That’s Roman!” but after I watched him in “It: Chapter 1”, I was blown away by his performance & how he was able to create his own Pennywise without stepping on Tim Curry’s toes. This one was creepy & scary, funny, a little sad & awesome at different times (I’ve already seen the second one, it’s definitely worth seeing in theaters). But watching him as The Kid in “Castle Rock” was what terrified me the most & that shocked me because I’m terrified of clowns but there’s something haunting about Bill Skarsgård that I didn’t notice until that show 😱❤️
He'll get that major role soon enough 👍Took his brother's way longer before they got their breakout roles, and let's not even talk about Stellan 😐 First movie I saw Alexander in was like 17 years ago.. so Bill is doing good for his age!
Hall Of The Vardy he’s literally pennywise. how does his eyes not look like his character? and what does being gay have to do with anything, lmao stop talking
Lexie Tibbs yeah that’s why movies literally don’t scare me at all! I’ve never been scared from a movie because I know it’s all just normal ass people in makeup 😂😂 sucks tho for me becUse I’m always disappointed after movies lmao
@@alexisrose4221 same the behind the scenes and everything messed with my movie experience to make it better I'd just pretend I was in their universe without a clue of shit going on and pretend what IF it was real.
What breaks my heart is that I can vividly see in Bill's eyes that he is tired of being referred to as the Pennywise, a cinematic figure he portrayed as an actor while no one wondering about how he is doing himself as Bill Skarsgard. I wish we could see a genuine real conversation with actors when invited on such TV shows. Boy, don't we cherish superficiality? Real story: Working in a retail store in Toronto as a salesman, I had the privilege of recognizing him and helping him out with a couple of items he was trying. Although I was so pushed momentarily to take a picture with him, towards the end of our business I realized this dude just wants to be himself today instead of being regarded as the guy who portrayed Pennywise. So I changed my stupid decision and just simply thanked him for his purchase.
You're so nice for doing that! I feel so bad for actors, especially when they're trying to be themselves or have a day with their family and fans just come in like "Hes free real estate"
Yeah they even placed the ruffles on the pennywise costume in such a way so his legs and arms look even longer to make pennywise look even more otherwordly
@@delilahfranklin9924 What drew him to the role? What inspirations if any did he take from? Has he read the book? More questions about the role and physicality of Pennywise.
@@jackofalltrades5238 What I love the most from these 2 movies is how crazy good Bill is as Pennywise. Without him these movies fail imo. His physicality seriously gave me chills a couple times and the cg they use on him I think works well.
@@wonderer78 Irk? It's so ridiculous, nostalgia fans don't judge actors by their actual acting, they judge them by their fame/iconic status and who was there "first". Let's be real, Tim Curry's Pennywise can't even compare to Bill's. Curry's Makeup was scary, that's all but Bill completely BECAME Pennywise.
I’m just not into the old school pennywise I think it’s dumb but maybe it’s because back then it was scary and I’m 1995 baby I’m new school bill did a great job he is penny wise to me 👌🏻 but we have are own opinions :)
@Jonathan Upshaw It's like Jack Nicholson Joker vs Heath Ledger Joker. One older, more famous actor played the Joker, while the newer actor BECAME the Joker and was completely devoted to his role. Devoted to the point that people still wonder if he went insane from his role. You can't compare these two. Same with Pennywise. Nostalgia fans are ignorant af, instead of appreciating good acting they just clinge to big names and childhood memories. That's not fair.
Ikrr that would be so nice tho not for me cuz i can stand up for myself and have done it before but u could get bullied for that but u know u could always say that my dad is a actorrrrr.
@@MichaelREFLECTS You must be an incel man or extremely immature. They aren't whores just because they find this man attractive. There are countless men that are married and watch porn. Shut up with your ignorance. Be more concerned why you jump at any excuse to disrespect woman so unnecessarily. You wear your insecurity on your sleeve.
I like the way he’s genuinely humble. Looks down when talking as if somewhat shy, hands fold, keeps smiling and really thinks before answering. That’s distinctive. The same goes for Bill Hader by the way. Must be fun to work with them. :)
Having a conversation with him in full pennywise glam, would be fucking AMAZING!!! Edit: HOLY SHIT 1.6k LIKES! Good to know I’m not the only one that wants this lol
Also here, such a big difference between his personality and the character he played, would be extremely interesting to see something like that, or, at least to see him talking like Pennywise in a casual look 😁
Stefan Vukcevic exactly!!! It’s like how different his personality from pennywise is! It would be AMAZING to just see how he gets into character! Honestly amazing! 😂
@@aloauinger I'm Carlquist. I have significant amount of Swede in me..more German I think ..I hate being American and I feel like I would fit in better in Sweden Scandinavia...I am an idiot American..speak only english
Gaming For A Day actually I think many people wanted to change the language into english years ago but decided that it would be wrong since we don't want to give up on our language. Either way most kids nowadays use english slangs so soon enough the language will fade...
Lauren carl if you think so, then try to learn some swedish? The structure of swedish is exactly like english and we have many words that resembles english words. Once you get the hang of it, it's actually pretty easy. The difficult part would be the pronunciation since we have so many different sounds. You don't have to though, it's just if you want to feel a little bit ”scandinavian” hehe
1:48 you’re not telling me that a man who can look as sweet as this, played pennywise, a clown that haunted my dreams after watching the first movie? (yes i am aware that it is btw)
I think he actually gets possessed to harness the energy of pennywise...he said he has nightmares of pennywise visiting him and him walking through town as pennywise
@@SeanMichaelShack alot of actors admit it....the guy who played the main character in 300 said he was possessed by Leonidas and that's how he portrayed the character so we'll..Johnny Depp said when he played jack sparrow in pirates of the Caribbean that Jack was a whole different person and he doesn't like watching the movies because it's not him that's playing the character on screen..hollywood is Fucked. Alot of wicked shit happenz
Yes, andy muschietti already confirmed that he is not done with pennywise. and that he is actually gonna shoot more scenes for IT Chapter Two, that he is gonna add to the SUPERCUT that is gonna be released sometime next year i think
Third film... No. Book ended with pennywise dying. If they want to make a third one they shouldn't have killed pennywise in this movie Edit: researched what a prequal is and now I understand. Thank you for everyone who pointed it out this was the first interview I have watched for it chapter 2
