Greetings everyone. Thank you for the pin and info. Good news as I have seen an article yestersad that one of his ex-lecturers at UJ saw the story and he will be re-admitted. Not sure how far the story is however, I believe the message by Eyewitness grab the necessary attention and as touched as people were, out of 100 people reading the story, 75 were eager and ready to help. Every time I come across such stories I always realise I'm not alone. As I am trying daily to improve my life many other are down like me trying. I wish Gibson and people like myself to remember our struggles and empower others. Our day is coming Gibson. 🙏🏾 As least I have data, shelter and make stride to secure a stable job plus run a informal business but I will make sure we improve our circumstances. When more money comes in I'll definitely touch lifes of people like you and myself.

In a way, it might not be a good idea to purse a Masters degree, he is already educated enough & has been through Internships, his urgent need is to get an entry level job, like in shops, Petrol stations etc. The longer he is on the street the more difficult it will be to get into the mainstream jobs, how is he going to attend interviews, what kind of clothing will he wear? The education system is failing us, what does one do with a qualification in History and Gender studies? What happened to the Toronto scholarship? Why didn't he go? Hopefully the politicians will be ashamed of themselves, and their corruption when they see this. I pray that he stay focused, his certificates are not safe on the street. I hope at least for the next few months I will not complain about anything, people are suffering out there

With education there is always hope. This is one guy who fought to win. He is not blaming anyone. He called them circumstances and stayed hopeful. On the other hand we see most school drop outs who chose crime and drugs blaming qualified foreign Doctors for stealing their job. This kind of a guy is allowed to be angry and claim his job. I know a woman from Zim who works as a domestic worker, but she has a masters degree in education, she is a qualified mathematics teacher so sometimes goes different in life.

How do we get in touch with eyewitness news?... Education is not the key to success & wealth, I wish I can meet him in person & teach him some things. We can both learn & give knowledge to each other, he seems like a very intelligent man.

people in most SADC countries think of moving to South Africa for job opportunities not knowing things are worse there...

I heard a rumor saying if you have any degree you will be in the unemployment line with a trade you will always have work……

What a resilient soul. But this is So sad. "If the value of your college degree doesn't have enough value to pay it self off its not worth the investment". Someone in the future will hold these institutions accountable for selling a product that nobody finds valuable in the market place. Institutions are a business like any other in my opinion. Why sell us things that don't work?

Gibson can apply for a scholarship at dhet and he can be financed to further his studies. He is determined and focused and I think he can learn a lot abroad and perhaps focus in economic development or Public Policy development.

There's a problem here,too much education ain't no good for nobody.If you are not working by age 25 you need to start wondering.I used to manage bright kids in the Engineering section of a Corporate and they were competent.Gibson needs to take the first job that comes along and forget the excessive qualifications. Companies hire experience and skill rather than paper qualifications. Recommended reading for Gibson:1.The nine steps to financial freedom. 2.The courage to be rich and 3.The hierarchy of needs.

This is why study bursary loans for teaching diplomas should be reinstated for him to become a teacher
