I agree with you 💯%! I wish that this had been the first in a series of discussions by this panel. I would love to see this panel examine 1) he long-term political and cultural consequences of downplaying (ignoring) women's roles in the abolitionist, civil rights, and anti-Vietnam War movements; 2) the positive impact of racial/gender/social "tropes (stereotypes); 3) the negative effects of these tropes; AND the big one: The most effective strategies to address these tropes for: 1) men of color; 2) white women; 3) women of color 4) in general.

This was a wonderful segment! The host was great... and every single one of the women there with him were incredible!! As many others have pointed out, I am a white woman, 56 years old, from Central Ohio; I feel such PRIDE in being a Democrat now! It's been a loooooong time since I've been able to speak those words truthfully. It's all because of Kamala Harris AND the women like the ones you had on your panel. It's about time for all people to wake up and understand that we are all equal and need to be treated as such. There was such division in this country, I was afraid we'd never find our way back ... I think Kamala is changing all of that! Thanks again for this segment! I truly enjoyed it 💙💙💙💙!!

This is the time for Kamala Harris. It's her life path, and it's the life path for our constitutional democratic republic. I was born before the middle of the last century. I've waited decades upon decades to see someone like her be acknowledged by our nation as the leader they believe we need. I'm overjoyed to promote her win, and to vote to make it happen.
@corrinejustmann6710
@corrinejustmann6710 2 месяца назад
Tom, why are you voting for her? What are her policies? I’m sorry to hear that you waited decades to see “someone like her” be acknowledged or whatever pansy crap that has nothing to do with real actual issues Tom‼️ 😜 First of all, how sad that this is what you look forward to. 2nd, you and Kamala both need to thank Downtown Willie Brown for all the “favors” and hours she’s spent on her knees (and her back), made her who she is today. 😳 Her choosing a known progressive, tampons for grade school boys (not a waste of money 🤨), stolen valor claims (which is hugely disgusting if he’s guilty and all the evidence is pointing to ‘he sure as heck is’) AND he’s a socialist sympathizer. We don’t need any of it! We as a nation are already the butt of other country’s jokes. We need a born leader to bring us back from the brink. The mess the Harris/Biden Administration has caused us is going to take years, we were on such a good track and then they came along. You may refuse to see the truths here TOM but more and more are taking the blinders off and realizing we are overdue for a change. We can’t keep going the way we have been under these corrupt liars. Time to put your country first, stop with all the “his words hurt my feelings” crap, it’s time to grow up! 🇺🇸 Trump/Vance 2024

I live in Berlin so for me it’s 5:30 am. I lose sleep rather than miss you. This is one of the most important discussions I’ve ever seen on the subject of women and race in elected office in the USA. Ari, I always depend on you to put out the most brilliant voices to address complicated issues. You didn’t fail me this time either. I’m acquainted with the voices of each of these people. We are in such a dangerous place. I can’t imagine the “dictator for a day”! I have lived and taught English in Germany 🇩🇪 for 26 of my 42 years of teaching, where we know about the history of repression. The rest is in Minneapolis, Minnesota. I adore Tim Walz as Kamala’s Vice President. He has the tone and the equanimity to offer the support she needs. I taught the troops in my first job in Germany. But the voices of each of these women name and explicate the reasons we have to move forward with Kamala as President. I raised my son in Germany but I also raised a Black child here who came to me when he was 14. we lived in Minneapolis for one year. We are not only ready for a Black woman to be President, she is just exactly what we need. These four brilliant women are so clear about the reasons why. I really can’t imagine any other man who would engage in the risky business of posing these critical questions to four women. Thank you for all you do!
@kathleenbarthelemy3850
@kathleenbarthelemy3850 2 месяца назад
I forgot to say that I will be 80 next month. I taught in the school that received the first Black students bused from North Minneapolis. Five years later I taught in that school. It was still more than 90% Black. This student body was absorbed into the new North High School. Tim Walz first came to my attention when a 15 year old student from North High was shot at a bus stop during the school day. He was an Honor Student and a football star. Tim Walz went to the school and sat with grieving teachers and students. He sat among the students in a plain white shirt with no tie. He was simply there for them. I will never forget that act of empathy and kindness. He also visited the parents. They had four daughters and finally had a son who seemed to be touched by magic. He was a star in every endeavor. And then he was taken from them. Tim Walz made a difference.

No. I would call myself struggling with everyone who is working to better ourselves and get ahead. I love the glass ceilings being broken. I love a more diverse representation. I love the United States and how it evolved to be the world leader for democracy, despite all the injustices incurred against the native, the slave, the poor, and the immigrant. My only accomplishment has to elevate my trade, be all I could be, trying to educate my fellow union members and the non union workers how great it is when we all work together. I want to congratulate whoever came up with the idea of this sort of discussion, whether you, Ari, or one of your producers: this was a brilliant idea, and I hope will be repeated! Thank you!

Jesus Christ saved my life recently, for many years I was lost, confused, depressed, and I was in need of a savior, he cures, heals and sets people free, he is calling to have a relationship with you. Repent from all of this f@ke news, cnn, msnbc tr@sh, freem@son, illumin@ti, media n0nsense, and all other of these f@ke reIigions and s@tanic stuff and turn to Jesus Christ and make him lord of your life, he will give righteousness, peace, joy, grace, and he will fill you with his holy spirit. 1 Corinthians and Galatians makes it very clear that you cannot be committing sin onto darkness, and people living that lifestyle will not be saved, but the good news is that Jesus made a way for us to be saved, if you sincerely seek him, ask him to change your mind, heart and soul, and ask him to fill you with his holy spirit, you can become one of his followers and a child of God and to be born again, Jesus said you must be born again and we have to make him lord of our lives and be obedient to him and keep his commandments. The reason why people sIn, follow f@ke relIgions and ideologies, and they get into evil s@tanic stuff that comes from the devil is because they did not make Jesus lord, once you make Jesus lord of your life and you follow him, live by him, and become one of his children you will no longer need the things of this world, Jesus the father, the son and the holy spirit is everything he is the best gift ever, he will bless you with the best life, he is the only way back to the father, and that is Jesus Christ. God sends street preachers, ministers, pastors, and the Bible tells us to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ to all nations and people and then the end times will come. Jesus says that I am the way the truth and light and no man comes to the father except for by me, every other belief is of s@tan, there only one way to get to heaven and that’s through Jesus Christ. No one or anything outside of the gospel and church of Jesus Christ can fix your heart, only God Jesus Christ can fix the heart, and that is the gift of the Holy Spirit, it is eternal life and the best gift that one can receive. The purpose of your life is to find Jesus Christ, he is the alpha and the omega and no man comes to the father but by him, he is loving kind and patient. If you try to find satisfaction and happiness in materialistic stuff and stuff outside of God, you will not find it, Jesus Christ can fix anyone’s problems. I encourage you to become a follower of Jesus and to make Jesus lord of your life, if everyone lived like Jesus Christ, picked up their cross everyday, and follow his word this world would have no crises. Ministry of the Word and Dan Purden provide great deliverance and discipleship if you need it, they also offer prayer and great ministry. A good bible to read is the king james. NIV and ESV are also good.
