Inflation is regulated by the federal reserve. There’s very little a president can do that affects it. However it tends to go up after large increases to the deficit (Trump has the largest on record) and overuse of tariffs such as in trumps trade war with Mexico.

about 30 years ago I showed up at a casual family party with a straw hat and overalls. It was outdoors and comfortable and my niece looked at me and said "you're weird." My Father spent 6 years on the frontline during WW2 and lost so many body parts. Then spent his whole career fighting Communism academically. Retiring as the Berlin wall fell finally believing that argument was decided. America spent it's military budget during that time fighting the same thing. Only to be faced now with the prospect Russia can expand again. They rolled their tanks into Hungary, Czechoslovakia, East Germany and others bullying for their brand of Communism. But we are now witnessing Trump and MAGA accusing American Dems of being not socialist but Communist, not because there is any truth in it, just an old fear used baselessly, but by supporting Putin it is the GOP pushing Russian philosophy. The cost of abandoning Ukraine could lead to expenses beyond anyone's wildest dreams. It could lead to incredible ongoing costs with Russia and China, And Trump would tear apart America's technological advances and military investment over the last hundred years , at once, instantly sacrificing everything on his whim.
