This is true, but Biden is in trouble electorally, and Labour, whose leader Kier Starmer has staunchly supported Israel throughout, are in trouble in some supposedly safe seats in our upcoming general election (the Tories are in meltdown and likely to lose extremely heavily). There is therefore already an electoral cost. If these organisers make good on their preparations, all kinds of other pressures can also be brought to bear. There is much more that certain trade unions could do, for example. As the guy in the video says, there is a lot of work still to do; but I'm hopeful. This could be the end in some senses of Western imperialism, and that would be ending 500-odd years of theft, murder and rape. That wouldn't be bad for a few months' work.

This is terrible math; you literally just multiplied the death toll of Dresden by 20 to count for 20 times more tons of bombs dropped on them in 1945. Remember that Dresden and Gaza have roughly the exact same square miles, with Gaza being slightly bigger and having about 13 more square miles. Keep in mind there are over 2.3 million people in Gaza, while Dresden had a pre-bombing population of about 600,000. Meaning, using your numbers if Dresden had the same population as Gaza, 4000 tons of bombs would result in 107,300 Deaths, 4.6%. Then, multiplying that by 20 to account for the 80,000 tons that have been dropped on Gaza would mean 2.1 million people would’ve died, or 93.3% of the population. Remember that this assumes that all 600,000 people stayed in Dresden, which is not the reality. The population of Dresden shrunk after the war to about 100,000 people, so plugging those numbers back in 28,000 deaths from a population of 128,000 using only 4000 tons of bombs would result in a death toll of about 22% now comparing this to Gaza’s population And the 80,000 tons of bombs dropped there by Israel then 10.1 million Palestinians should be dead in Gaza right now. (don’t tell Hamas, or they might claim it) Also, this doesn’t account for the advances in medical technology between 1945 Germany and 2023 Gaza(CPR wasn’t a technique until the 1960s, blood transfusions weren’t as advanced or widely available for civilians, antibiotics were in their infancy, and only really mass produced in the US and the UK) all this means that those 4000 tons of bombs dropped on Dresden caused more unintentional deaths than they would’ve than what 4000 tons of bombs today would’ve. as well as the advancement in military technology. Israel has GPS And AI guidance systems for their missiles and bombs, making them roughly 90% more accurate than that of 1945’s accuracy. So, not only does 4000 tons of bombs in 2023/2024 most likely result in fewer unintended deaths than it would’ve in 1945. The bombs themselves are astronomically more accurate. Tying all this together, Israel has dropped 20x tons more on a strip of land, roughly the same size as Dresden but 3.83 times the population, resulting in your claim of 40,000 Palestinian deaths when they have dropped the capability of killing 10.1 million. Keep in mind that 80,000 tons of bombs are enough to destroy 800 square miles, and on earth, the maximum population density is in Manila, Philippines, with 119,000 people per square mile, so taking into account Israel’s insane accuracy of their modern weapons theoretically, they could hit with 80,000 tons of bombs 800 square miles of a population density of 119,000 which would result in 95.2 million people dying

A Palestinian spokesman’s said 40,000 Palestinians slaughtered by the Israelis is the equivalent of 12 million Americans percentage wise. That is an awful lot of dead bodies, not counting the ones under the rubble. I’d sooner believe this Palestinian spokesman than you I’m sorry to say.

Yes, I used the death rate of deaths per ton of explosives from dresden--a city with significantly lower population density, and far fewer bombs dropped on it--as the basis for an estimate of the death toll in Gaza. Israel has been specifically targeting population centers throughout the war. All of gaza is destroyed, and the all the medical advancements enjoyed by the rest of the world are not currently accessible to those at the genocidal end of Israel's bombing of gaza--given that the medical infrastructure of gaza--along with nearly all of the buildings--has been destroyed. Anyways, I'll go through your comment a little later and address the details point by point.
