The Estate looks like it might be in the Mount Washington hills overlooking HLP (artsy older area of L.A.). PLEASE, I was born and raised in California and came back basically for my parents when their health started failing...California has its faults but it's far, far, FAR from a "sesspool" It still has the best weather, the most varied scenery and climate options, ocean beauty and beaches all along the coast line, desert areas, gorgeous mountains, REDWOOD forests, many state run fine camping locations for reasonably priced family vacations, if we want snow in winter we drive an hour or two and have it for a full day or a weekend, skiing is available and not just for those rich enough to go to CO or VT. Yes, we do have a bad governor at present and our schools, once the highest rated in the nation, now among the poorest.. I saw the handwriting on the wall in the 70's and my children were able to go to fine parochial schools...and when we moved to New England for work we kept them in church schools, through High School...BEST money we have ever spent btw. California is not perfect and housing costs too much, but wages are higher here. An R.N. can make $100 hr most places! This week in CA fast food workers will earn $21 hr !
