How could the wife of the opposing future presidential candidate have any influence on the security team leader of the other future presidential candidate? This makes no sense at all. How can it be sensible to have a 5'3" person, male or female, be employed to bodily protect a person who is 6'3"? How could a supposedly trained security officer have difficulty holstering their weapon? How can a person of concern be known of by security personnel for an hour, & yet still be allowed to fire a weapon at a crowd? It seems like almost deliberate incompetence.

Reagan was shot by a family friend's son of then vice president and former CIA Director Bush three months into his presidency. The FBI Director J.Edgar was in office even longer. Thirty eight years appointed in 1934. He was the FBI Director when Kennedy was murdered and during the assassinations of Martin Luther King and Robert Kennedy. He ran the investigations and solved the murders were all lone gunmen.
