If her subordinates aren't even showing up for work then how much work is actually getting done. I'm aware that they are probably doing work remotely but my guess is that they were being called in and told to show up for work 50 percent of the time because there was not enough work getting done.

Not really..our company is employee owned is very family oriented to the point we have multiple and I mean multiple events a year. Competitive pay and benefits as well as retirement. Soooooo what's the red flag with that?

It is entirely false to claim people were more efficient working from home -- people working from home have been proven to do less work than those in an office. Across the board, in every job.

If you are a low level programmer then maybe. Most organizations need interpersonal interaction, at least for a major portion of time. Of course many younger employees are not equipped for that, but they could learn to be!
