In 2000s female artists had to be super sexy and we did not understand it back then we were children/teens/young adults... Now when we look back we can see how abused Britney was. And in modelling there was the super sexy Giselle Bundchen, Aurelie Claudel, Fernanda Tavares etc... They all had to be sexy Victorias Secret models (unlike what models look like now). Other than Britney there was sexy+beautiful Beyonce, Cameron Diaz, Charlize Theron, Mandy Moore, Jessica Simpson etc...All same vibes... Barely there clothes/styles, sexy poses, sexy photoshoots...That trend ruined alot of young women, young girls' mental health thinking we are not enough beautiful or woman...Fashion magazines, ads, runways, designers, music industry, film industry they all worked for it. I'm super happy to see all these industries are changing and new generation is not buying this shit anymore.

She barely asked something to Jennie. She should have asked some more questions to Jennie because she's the most famous among those. So, if she wanted some more views in her video, she should have at least asked questions like she asked TROYE AT LEAST. IT WAS NOWHERE NEAR AS BAD AS THE CRITICS. I think Jennie as Dyanne will betray Jocelyn or is the one who baited her in the first place. I think everyone is very purposeful. Jennie is undeniably more popular the Lily, so putting them together would make it seem like she's she's taking the spotlight no matter what. Even in Cannes, despite not being a Main character, photographers cheered so they can take photos of her. And that's her character. Even in the MV of Popular, they show her face when able was singing "Kill anyone to be popular". So I think Dyanne will be there in the shadows trying to covet what Jocelyn has. Lily surprised me as Jocelyn. But then again, I should've expected that from the daughter of two Hollywood living Legends. WAS SHE SEXUALIZED? YES. But not for the sake of being sexual like Euphoria and Sidney, She was sexualized because with a purpose. She played a mentally unable character, no one really cares about her but they all want to exploit her. For Abel his acting was not good, but not bad. I've been his fan even when he was still anonymous and I know he's not the most handsome and appealing BUT THEY MADE HIM UGLY ASF. THAT RAT TAIL WAS DAMNED AND SOMEONE SHOULD BURN IT. But I think it's also on purpose since his character is really shady and I think they're just trying to show how ugly and shady men in Hollywood pray on mentally unstable women, and in this case, Jocelyn. I like that they picked him since he really does look scary and rapey, everyone can see that but Jocelyn. All in all, it was nowhere near as bad as the reviews. I'm going to watch it since Jennie is here. Also, Abel is a genius, so I think if it's disgusting to some, I think they purposely showed it as is since realistically, it's not handsome men that will prey on young women in Hollywood but creepy, ugly, and rapey men. I think this was rated poorly since this show clearly exposed them, Hollywood, the media, and the predators in the industry.

The Idol totally exploits and demeans Lily Rose Depp. It's so embarrassing that Johnny Depp's daughter chose to do this degrading role. She is literally either naked or topless every other Scene. I felt so uncomfortable watching it. I felt like she was being abused in real life on this Movie Set. Lily said she had to stay away from The Weekend because he was acting so weird.

Tbh this show was criticised heavily after the Rolling Stones article, but from what I’ve heard and the reporters interviewing the cast, it sounds generally alluring and interesting. You also got to remember that this show is an 18+ and is aimed at a certain demographic and generally resembles the weeknds past music and style. I’m really interested into seeing what the show is about and the characters

i am two episodes down and i honestly have nothing good OR bad to say about it. if anything, its alluring in a sense that you want to know where the story goes. one thing i have to say though, is that there seems to be no real chemistry between the cast members (at least in this interview). it feels like there is a sense of discomfort between them off-screen. this could be because of the recurring changes in the script and the show overall. all in all, i am genuinely curious of how joss and tedros' relationship unfolds.
