Queensland Opposition leader David Crisafulli has hit out at Labor’s abortion “scare campaign” as he promised there would be no changes to the abortion laws if the Liberal National Party wins the state election.
The two Queensland leaders are squaring off in their final debate before the state election.
Both leaders are debating in front of a crowd of voters selected by YouGov, who will be able to ask questions of the pair ahead of casting their vote on October 26.
“There is a lot of confusion, there is a lot of uncertainty aside from this one message I want to give to every single Queenslander today,” Mr Crisafulli said.
“There will be no changes to abortion law and I want Queenslanders to hear that directly from me because the level of vitriol and the campaign that is being run on what is a sensitive issue has crossed the line.”
