The city should try locking up bad guys. This from D.C. a year ago, but it's the same anywhere there are urbans : The D.C. police chief, where crime shot up over the past year, said the average homicide suspect has 11 prior arrests before committing murder “If we really want to see homicides go down … keep bad guys with guns in jail,” Contee said. He also argues that there has been a lack of prosecutions. Last year, the U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Columbia only prosecuted 1 of 3 arrested by Metropolitan police.
Because closing the legal business, a gas station will stop the crime in that area right!!! The gas station isn't the problem, too many criminals and not enough justice served is the problem but lets just blame the business and make the owner another victim of St. Louis city's poor management by it's leaders. I dodged a bullet when I once considered starting a business in St. Louis City, I ended up a couple counties away and have zero regrets.
Yeah, the QT at Gravois and Chippewa is trash. It's at the bottom of the hill from me, and I never go there. The problem isn't the businesses, it's criminals not being prosecuted and locked up.
