Here in Michigan near the largest middle eastern population in America I fly an Israeli flag high next to the stars and stripes. To show to Arabs, Jews and all Americans that I am not afraid. I worked with nearly every group of people, from Amish and Chippewa Indian to Polish, blacks Mexican and Asian Indians and the only people that I found suspicious, arrogant, deceptive, plotting and outright dishonest are the majority of unassimilating tribal middle eastern people. I agree totally with everything said. I am a Canadian born in Canada to Caucasian parents. I feel exactly the same about Canadian values and beliefs that I grew up with. Canada is not the same. I also felt the same about those protests. There was something threatening about it and felt fear of possible escalation. Our prime minister, Trudeau, I feel, does not represent Canadians or Canada. There is something sadistic about him in how he treats Canadians and does not want to protect us from terrorists. He has even diminished our military to a point where we cannot even protect Canada.

As an indigenous person of Canada - We're just trying to live on the same type of playing field everyone else in Canada has, this becomes even harder as Quebec just does not see Indigenous peoples as equals.
Nothing against indigenous peoples, truly. But until we abolish the Indian Act (which I believe harms indigenous more than helps them) then it will be difficult for non indigenous Canadians to view indigenous as equals. To be equal, we must all be treated equal, including NO special treatment from the government. I know that will be hard on many indigenous folks, but so long as one group is treated differently based on skin color, the divide cannot heal. Unfortunately our current government wants to divide us not bring us together.
This beautiful woman is the epitome of the type of immigrant that Canada WANTS & welcomes with open arms...not the terrorist backing trash that we seem to have now, in large number!! When I was peacekeeping in Cyprus middle 1980s, quite often we were encountered by Iranian persons just like her parents. Father with family in tow, seeking asylum because of religious persecution in Iran. We merely referred them to the Nicosia office of International Red Cross. The very thankful fathers, nearly shook our arms right out of the socket in glee. Wonderful & thankful people! It felt great to assist them. However small the role. God bless her! She is one hi quality fellow citizen. She's good her head screwed on right & I wish she was our prime minister in Ottawa.

If you had asked me a year ago, l would have told you separation would never happen. Now, l plan to vote yes to separate from Canada, sooner rather than later.

I 100% agree with this young Ontario politician and Iranian emigrant when she makes the bold claim that this is not the Canada she came to in the late 80's and that she grew up in. This country ultimately nurtured the morale and ideas she loves and cherishes so dearly but that she so sadly acknowledges to be watching this country (Canada) slowly erode them out of our society. I too came to Canada many years ago as a young boy in the mid 60's and I vehemently and aggressively embraced the entire culture here in southern Ontario living close to the American border (both Canadian and more generally North American ideals) . many debates and discussions and on occasion shouting matches around the dinner table took place with me defending all that I was being indoctrinated into (long hair and the hippy culture , the sexual revolution, the acceptance premarital sex, they even streaked in the 70's, homosexuality, cross culture and cross racial unions, uninhibited free speech)you name it we showpieced it and eventually made it part of everyday life and part of North American culture. Canada and the USA of the 70's 80's and 90's were probably the most tolerant societies to ever exist in the history of humanity. I bragged about this country wherein the span of 3generations there was a jump from peasant to tradesperson to myself, a doctor . a country that allowed you to leave the bullshit behind and work as hard or as little as you wish towards whatever goal(s) you may set for yourself . the only obstacles between you and that/those goals are you yourself and most certainly not your skin colour nor your religious faith, not your sexual orientation and most certainly not your political affiliation....unfortunately our present day Canada is far from them and in fact when filling out forms wanting to know your ethnicity and skin colour and what pronouns you use .....just like that young lady , I no longer live in a Canada where the job went to the best fit irregardless of what they looked like or what religious apparel adorned their neck or head or ....nor did it matter what preferences you had in the bedroom; the truth of the matter is we are selecting for mediocrity not excellence and that's exactly what you'll get ; a bunch of half ass b.s. everywhere you go in this once great country.. unfortunately Canada has gone to shits with its censorship, laws that are designed to help the lazy , penalize the hard working individuals and all under the guise of if you don't comply youre a selfish prick that doesn't care about the whole only about yourself . oh I could go on and on about how this country has changed for the worst ..... situations and demands you would never have encountered in the past ..im fortunate .... His Carbon Taxation Scheme is a total Joke, and is resulting in many people having to choose between heating and eating. Just last month a Record Setting 2 Million Canadians had to visit a Food Bank in order to try and make ends meet. This is what having a Drama Teacher as Prime Minister has done thus far to Canada. And we have 2 more years of this insanity before an election. God help us.
