As a black person I see nothing wrong with Orania. These are ordinary citizens who found a plot in a middle of a desert and built something without any tax money from the country. And yet we have the ANC who have been in control of the country for the past 30 years and they’ve never built anything. They can’t even replace pit toilets with flushing toilets in schools. All the infrastructure they inherited from the Apartheid government is now collapsing (e.g the airports, cities, national roads, railways, universities, state owned enterprises and even borders….🤷🏿 black people must learn instead of hating and complaining.
@@shakeelmohideen7172 does democracy mean everything must fail for all to be equal? If that is democracy, i do not want it. Respect and discipline is what is needed. With that most issues will be sorted out. People will talk, listen and find solutions.
@uromvictor back in the 80s and 90s my grandfather used to park his bakkie in town, and leave the keys inside. Today it gets stolen, even if you lock it and have an alarm system.
He made a valid point in one of his previous videos, questioning why our government would travel to Asia and Dubai to learn from them when we have the opportunity to learn from Orania right in our own backyard.
It's a small piece of land in the middle of nowhere so it didn't have much value then. It's about what a community can build from the little they have. The government owns many, many times more land. Why don't the Black Millionaires who have benefited multiple fold times from tenders (we won't talk about whether they were corrupt or not - that's a separate discussion) group tother and create their own version of a small town where other black people can come and subscribe to a certain lifestyle - like no stealing, working for a living and helping to build a place for their family and future generations..? There are so many black people who have the skills to do this. I'll tell you why.. Because once a black man becomes affluent.. He wants to live the very same lifestyle of the white man he claims to hate...and he doesn't care about his community, only about himself.
Guys, Orania is not a Town but a privately owned "plot" or piece of land. The people on that "plot" can do whatever they want hence the government can't intervene.
It's all about having a healthy conscious mind. In other other words, don't work for your own gain but for the people. That's exactly what Oranje is doing. Everyone through out the world is searching for PEACE. The people of Oranje is happy. May the universe bless the entire world with Peace, cause that's all we need. ❤❤❤❤

If Godliness means no stealing and working to provide a living for your self and your family, not drinking in public and creating a nuisance, then God isn't the problem, it's the other people's version of what they think their behaviour should be like. I'm not white and I don't see an issue of like minded people what to to something together to benefit each other.

I learnt a lot from this video. No rape , murder , theft , burning and looting. A very clean place. No corruption. A beautiful South Africa was handed over in 1994. Today its destroyed. Nothing is functioning. Very soon SA will be in total darkness.
What is also interesting is the land is like a barren land which they bought from the government. Orania don't have to bother spending money on prisons service, immigration, public welfare, etc. This is just teaching us that as man is created in the image of God, there is so much we can do if we keep the right focus. In life, sometimes you learn from your enemy. How wonderful it would be, if everybody in South Africa holds a job.

Their ownership to that piece of land is no different to the ownership of land by Ingonyama Trust. Ingonyama Trust leases land etc and these guys are developing it for their own people
You can.. But just like a private gated estate, the right of admission is reserved.. And that's what it is... A private piece of land where none of South Africa's tax money is used for the upkeep of the place.

It was something like that but different. They were still dependant on the central goverment but had their own armies, police hospitals and so on. They also had their own "governments" and TV station. BOP TV.
Bophuthatswana was never a real country acknowledged internationally, it was a fantasy republic used to disenfranchise Black South Africans and make them citizens of a non-existant country. It's shocking to see the lack of education among our own people when it comes to apartheid era policies and frauds.
The government should invite them to collaborate, in economics and development, even on land reforms if they assist the government I think SA could move forward.

@@paulnbarros1400Orania has a bank. Depends on what you mean by it's own currency. Orania has the Ora that functions like a coupon that can be used only in the shops of Orania. The value of the Ora is the same as the rand. So 1 Ora equals to 1 rand. You can trade it back to rand anytime. ( As long it is still valid) It is more of a safety precaution. It is not meant to replace the rand. A new series comes out every three years.
You are building that community with the stolen money that your father's and grandfathers stole from Black people that you are naming here. Black people have done so much for this country, not everything is perfect we know that. You build block of houses now you think you can run this country with that racist mentality. Why is your racist DA failing to run the municipalities they have? If you don't stop with that mentality you have this country will not move forward because of people like you. Touching on our original sin with that comment. It was never segregation, our crime was seperation. What followed was accusations and activisim which prompted further retaliation.
That doesn't look like the "Oranje blanje blou" flag at all. What a great and sustainable little town. May they set an example for the rest of the country to see how good leadership affects what needs to be done to get things back to the way they were.
@@CorpusChristi-j8x I didn't see white in the middle. Only saw 🔵 and 🍊 🟧 📙 ✴️ 🟠 🔸️ This flag's colors situate in a horizontal "pattern", like the Italian flag. As where the old flag's "pattern" is vertical, similiar to the German flag. It also had the Union Jack on the left,Free state flag in the centre and SA Republic on the right ; as you probably already know this. P.S. I just went to Google the Orania flag. It does have white in it(my apologies), but it's a person pulling up his sleeve. Nothing like the old one. Go google it.
A group of people who stepped in to take care of their people whom the BEE policy doesn't allow for. They are making a way for them to contribute and add value to their existence. No they can't because they're not culturally Afrikaans or subscribe to Afrikaans beliefs and traditions. You could group up a whole lot of Zulu or Xhosa people for example, who and build your own little town and start inviting other people with similar beliefs to come live there. Finance is not a problem - there are millions of Black millionaires nowadays. I'm sure the government will even just give you a piece of land as part of redistribution.

People like Gayton Mckenzie are comparing apples to pears. An entire nation like South Africa, in comparison to Orania's small community? Just like how you allow AA, BEE and cadre employment. Do some homework - this was a small piece of land in the middle of nowhere that they bought long ago. It's a private piece of land just like how a gated estate works except they expanded over time. Don't break down what other people have because you don't know how to create your own. I salute them for creating a healthy environment for their children. I'm not white, nor do I have a desire to go live there, but you have to give credit where it's due. Do you know they don't employ any black people to do any of their work..? This shows that they are a self sustaining community.
