The majority of Australians are not racist - and that is the problem. We are too polite to speak the truth and call out the BS of the few radical elitists who are causing the majority of friction in this country. I think a lot of NO voters were so quiet because they felt guilty as they wanted to recognize the indigenous community but knew the Voice was just a power grab by those same so called "leaders". The vitriol and anger spewed from a few of the YES campaigners certainly hasn't helped with "reconciliation".
POWER GRAB alright by the racist Radicals only interested in them selfs what money they can funnel out of tax payers They do not care about, anybody else....especially marginalised residents whom every body forgets. Hats off to Tony he speaks common sense, and we need alot more like him moving forward to get jobs for all young people's in rural remote areas. Start them working, Not destructive paths , self worth NOT SHAMED because they a having ago, as this happens today! Still.
I think alot of us are ,everyone i know wants no immigration,or a small amount, they dont like seeing so many indians And africans everywhere now,.....🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺
Why, and in what manner do you think aborigines should be (further) recognised? The Gillard ALP passed the ATSI People's Recognition Act in March 2013, "on behalf of the people of Australia." Why is this insufficient? What is the Constitutional Recognition of aborigines expected to achieve? The activists have repeatedly said they don't WANT "symbolic recognition". Marcia Langton said so only a few weeks before the referendum. Noel Pearson also rejected similar suggestions by Mick Gooda.
And don’t forget the LAND CLAIMS on over 3400 land titles in the REDLANDS COUNCIL precinct. This commenced prior to the vote, and will no doubt be given even greater attention by those ACTIVISTS. NOT FORGETTING THE $76,000,000 given to the aboriginal community by ALBO to fight for those claims. By the way $0,000,0000 given to the local council to defend against those claims.
The irony about virtue signalling and Labor in general is that The Voice's YES campaign completely ignored child abuse and domestic violence. You would expect that a genuinely caring person would target these issues straight away - after all, it was all supposed to be about closing the gap and improving living standards for the aborigines. In fact, the Voice was engineered by militants who just seemed to be intent on destroying our way of life. All of this embraced readily by the YES side, when they weren't busy railing against Israel for being attacked. It was the NOs - particularly Jacinta Price and Warren Mundine who took up the cause for aboriginal women and children. The YES side and wokenism in general are just hypocrites. I hope the rest of us maintain this rage next year and vote out Labor, who have become quite evil in my view.
It had nothing to do with child protection and domestic violence… It was a thinly veiled grab for power and funds… The woke yes mob couldn’t give a stuff about the people at the bottom of the food chain
Audit needs to be done with all indigenous funding both forensic & yearly.!!! Australians do NOT owe anything. We have paid & paid again billions $$$ every year for far too long, with no results (apparently) according to all the indigenous activists that have had their hands in the till. Put the billions back into main stream funding and have the real Elders (not the activists) of each community responsible for applying for grants to help their own communities, which must then be monitored & audited yearly. The Elders have had their respect taken away (which the voice was going to erode even more, if not completely) & should be allowed to have the responsibility returned to them for their own groups. Teach & show the communities that they can be responsible for themselves, which in turn will give them pride & it will teach the kids to have pride & respect again. We are told, repeatedly, that indigenous groups are all seperate from the others, but the voice was going to have them lumped together as one & controlled as one.
Well said , Lil The radicals won't like it as it takes their bargaining Chip of the table, not that they care about regional , rural, remote communities. Yes I do think Audits in to were the funding is going is relevant. If it was YOUR business , manager's Would want to know were it was haemorrhaging cash.
Aussies cannot keep a roof over their heads or put food on the table. Reality? The escalating cost of petrol and groceries have not helped the majority! Starting to feel generous about those who have less? Start, by initiating a "top-down" example!
Yes campaigners are freaking out cause they thought they were on a great gravy train so these unelected campaigners are going to the grave kicking and screaming
Yes, 6 months out from the referendum, these activists were almost polishing their chairs on the Voice advisory committee (with guaranteed sinecures etc, with all the lurks and perks. As public support waned the more angry they got at seeing all this slip through their fingers … as in 😢+😮
I've just returned from nine months in the Kimberly. He's absolutely right. Most kids and abled bodied adults - apart from the stolen generation - are illiterate and innumerate.
That is why a tick was accepted as a vote for the referendum and a “/“ was close enough to a tick to be accepted. If some of these remote communities had to actually write Yes, then the informal vote would have been higher than 1 %.
Yes, big time! And now our 'crying in the red dirt' so called prime minister is on another bloody plane out of here. There must be a vote of no confidence and his immediate removal. Worst PM this country has ever had, period.
Tony is that great Aussie type of bloke that Ray 'my boomerang won't come back' Martin should have asked opinion of before going all nulla-nulla about dinosaurs and d**kheads. But l guess he prefered remaining a 'has been' journalist rather than doing his research.
Royal commission on National Indigenous Australian Agency and Independent enquire into AEC. Need Federal election now. We dont need Welcomes. We need to be All Australians in Australia 🇦🇺 Day for all Australia.
Starting to get sick and tired of the sight of Albanese and his party and the Greens. They do virtually nothing to help struggling Aussies, but love woke virtue signaling.
I've been on numerous communities in the Kimberley, they use to have a community development program akin to work for the dole, nothing wrong with something like that, leave them alone for culture sake I say. The closer you are to a city, no reason to ask for handouts.
It's a sad thing that our Prime Minister thinks two thirds of us are brain dead racists. A man that contemptuous of the bulk of Aussies needs to be gotten rid of.
Johnny Farnham’s words “ you’re the voice , try and understand it “ never has a truer word ever been spoken . Totally couldn’t have scripted it , could you ! No one understood it , and NO was the only possible result 🎉
They cannot all be stockmen. There are a lot of smart kids, who fully deserve a good education. They have to stop the "elders" dragging the boys out of school for cultural reasons. They can do it at weekends and during school holidays.
@@penguinvic9892 Labour's sent Victoria broke, and in massive debt. Labour tried to devided the country, with the Us and Them racism. Labour supports communism. Labour has done under the counter deals with China. Labour is the reason people can't buy food, live in affordable houses, can't pay the power bills. We must remove labour from power, before this country is totally ruined.
What a load of rubbish. Firstly try to understand what woke actually means ( it is not what Sky wants you to believe it is ) and then secondly, whether it is 40% or 20% of people voting Yes, it doesn't make any difference really does it. Why should all people think like you do, it is what makes a strong democracy. If you can't understand that, go and live in a country like North Korea where all the thinking is done for you. See if you like that. Voting is an individual choice, it is not up to you to criticise those who vote different from you.
I'm sick and tired of hearing about indigenous and non indigenous people if you are born in Australia have ancestors buried here than you are indigenous Australian
There is a distinct difference between a manager and a BOSS. I learned decades ago that it is hard to hear what the people as saying whilst you are yelling at them! The "NOISE" created by the various persons who had their career vested in the power they would gain from the "VOICE". Tell the media that they are not the law makers and the politicians that if they want a job in the next parliament they should SHUT UP and do what they are paid for. NO special agencies, or rights for ANYONE. No race to have any special treatment. Australia belongs to AUSTRALIANS and if you do not want to be an AUSTRALIAN then you can work out what we owe you - NOTHING! Is it time yet for a Royal Commission into the MEDIA and its ANTI-DEMOCRATIC, ANTISEMITIC and ANTI-Australian activities in Australia???? So much media opinion and so little news!
Ombudsman should look at ABC coverage of referendum and programming with 90% indigenous concerns. No discussion, no airtime to No viewpoint. I'm utterly disgusted. Lost me as a listener PERMANENTLY!
Great work. How does a woman stop progress over an alleged song line.does she swim there every day. ? The absolute crap they come up with. Like Tony we need real men not yes men.
We are a country of mixed races including Asian, European, Middle Eastern, Kiwi, Indigenous and etc etc's so why single just one race out and label No voters as racist ? We are all Australian brothers and sisters and should not have been put in this position. Albanese is looking like Australia's Trump but starting trouble.
Well they need people to keep supporting social change to keep pouring money for it that is really unaccountable, and this affect financial budget and can't be fully explained like inflating inflation.
@@domenica5714 yeah, but during the worse fires in a long time, not good optics. as an aside, don't think l'm an albo fan, our house voted for the sell out minors.
@@bettysteve322716 And "optics" is all it was. Scomo happened to take a holiday at the time the fires were developing but before it was known how big they would become. The woke media made a huge song-and-dance about it. Weak-minded people were taken in by it, and now we see the eventual result - a hard-Left whack job in the lodge.
Someone has taught mr seabrook to talk in SKY-speak. He talks with lots of wokes, virtue signalling, elites, radicals. Very ancient aboriginal culture is very important.
They have to stop pulling the kids out of school for the cultural teaching. They can teach the kids their culture at weekends and during school holidays. Education is very important. They are no longer living a nomadic, hunter/gatherer life.
Aboriginal culture is horrible. Aboriginal women and girls as young as 13yrs old are promised off to men who mistreat them. The woman/girl will get beat by the man and his family if she tries to run away. Jacinta Price is hated by her own mob because she speaks out against the culture aboriginals are practising.
you don't get it, this is new, not "last week" this is the States ignoring the Federal referendum results and just forcing it through at State level instead, without consulting with the States peasants.
So, you think that indigenous welfare is "old news" and "Bull SHHIT", eh? Well that just proves what so many peolpe said about Yes supporters - you were a bunch of racist hypocrites all along!!! Australia was right to vote No. But I understand why you are now embarrassed about the Voice.
