☺️🥰 I have a special request. My mother passed at my age now in 2005. It took a very long time to recover from that. I know she’s with the Lord, but there’s a few songs I play on repeat that are my special songs for her as they played often on the radio and on tape decks when she was around- and they bring tears to my eyes and a smile on my face. It’s a long shot, but I’m going to ask anyway. Two of those songs are “Shining Star” by the Manhattans and the other is “Sailing” by Christopher Cross. There is only one person that I know of who successful covered “Sailing” and it’s a secular artist, Avant. He did an incredible job and I do listen to his version. But I thought about it. My momma would sing and her voice was the sweetest thing. I thought about what your ethereal, earthy voice would sound like covering “Sailing” and I about burst into tears. I already love ya to pieces- you already have a wild fan for life over here- but if you ever decided to cover “Sailing”, I would probably put it on repeat at night with all the lights out and bawl my eyes out with gratitude and thanksgiving …. For God, for my momma, for the lovely memories I hold precious and dear, and of course, for you. 💕👊🏾👊🏾🔥
